Good morning traders,
In the US last night the Dow hovered around the 11,000 mark mid-session but failed to hold onto minimal gains into the close while modest gains in the S&P, largely benefiting from strength in technology, allowed it to close at another 3 1/2 year high.
The Dow ended 3.69 points down at 10,936.86 with the Nasdaq 19.6 ahead at 2,090.21 and the S&P500 3.19 points higher at 1,225.31.
This morning, Tokyo's winning streak came to an end. The Nikkei closed down 38.45 points at 11,886.91, after gaining 3.6% over the previous eight trading days. The market's longest winning streak since August 1999.
