US stocks are poised to end the session much lower on a new all-time high for crude-oil prices. A profit warning from General Motors also sparked concern about the outlook for the economy and corporate earnings.
As the bell approached, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was sitting close to its low for the session, down 111 points at 10,633. Weighing heavily on the benchmark index, GM shares hit a 10-year low, down nearly 13% at $29.31.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 20 points to 2,014 while the S&P500 dropped 10 points to 1,187.
See you in the morning to pick up the pieces.... ;-)
