This is another company with a zero following here, so I wonder if anyone has used their queue-busting gismo?, - for example at Alton Towers.

I have held these since they floated. Unfortuneately as they where part of the enterprise scheme they are not even allowable to me as a capital loss. (I know I got the tax relief, but I can still grumble).
As far as I know they have not got a contract at Alton Towers, only at 5 Six Flags parks in the US.

So is queuing something visitors enjoy, or is LOQ expensive to install? It looks to be a "good idea" but unless it's cheap and not easily nicked, I suspect Management isn't up to the challenge. Businesses need to be more than a 1-product co and I recall that on speaking to them they were dismissive of ideas. Have you been to their AGM? I think it was in Henley so I didn't go. If a co can't be bothered to come to London, that really says it all; unless they (perhaps once) have some kit to show shareholders. I'm not impressed by Co's with significant business overseas (where I can't see it) since logically they should "list" where the business is. I would expect the "gismo" to carry advertising and maybe different age-related games so adults can play poker against the house, whilst the Kids ride the Corkscrew (etc) - this wasn't my suggestion, just an expectation although I doubt they have the vision. What is their cash position? The shares look cheap historically. I'm wary of EIS investments - too little history for a miserable 20% return. (and that's only if the investment fully qualifies)
IMHO: Lo-Q is Lo-Go
Or do you take a hopeful view?

Thanks for the note. I will explore repayment.
I was very surprised to learn that the business model relies on Lo-Q installing and owning the equipment and renting directly to the punters. This maybe one of those inventor led companies not taking advantage of a professional CEO, as you surmised, management not up to the challenge. I have always thought it was a great idea but after 5yrs you would expect greater market penetration.
I have not been to an AGM, I have reconciled to myself myself that the company is not going anywhere.

Except today - it's shot up, on low volumes (13.30pm). However, maybe a takeover but this business would be great for an operator - they could spy on competitor attractions - seriously though I suspect that with the high cost of Entrance many folk would use any 'phone-based alternative. That would wreck LOQ overnight - and because telco want coverage throughout these venues there would be no technical problem. Maybe you just text "next" and the computer suggest a ride that's reasonably free.
Unimaginative management was my view. OK I was a bit hurt they dismissed my idea - but they wouldn't consider broadening their portfolio, that was my concern.
If the sp goes up much more, something's afoot.......but what......no RNS from this Co for ages. Are they still breathing?
Huh!

(prompted by sp rise today)
- - - in reply to skg earlier poster:- re wrecking
That was not my purpose, also having a small loss with them; - but it pains me to see a goodish idea/business/ going down the tubes. Like watching your car (from the sound-proof viewing area) being wrecked by monkies.
- However, today the sp went up a decent amount, perhaps someone pressed the right button, for the only RNS is a bit old now and said LOQ would delay their accounting period - oh dear I think that CEO-babble for ... "we missed the order, let's hope another comes real soon."...
There is an Ofex company that is attacking a very similar market but has the added "class" of HP support - they are aiming at museums really but there are some similarities where adventure-park and history overlap - I remember a disasterous visit to W - Castle which took me about 4 minutes to become completely lost using their silly tape machines....designed by monkies I suspect (those that had never gone round such an exhibition, expecting to get something out of it). My then-girlfriend and I parted company afterwards!
Sorry if I'm comming over neg on LOQ, but I guess their management has to take some of it - I say like I see - and I suspect the remainder of the Market sees little else, either.
I haven't attended agm - not in leafy Henley - what's wrong with London? e.g. At one of "their" venues - oops sorry.

Well there seems to be some upward movement, it's just nicer if it's after the co makes an RNS; for then we know where we are.
15p soon?

...shall I repeat 03 July 06 post?..."Up lots today - yet still no news from the company" - Well, I have sold into strength.
I cannot take this level of no-news any longer.
Management will be satisfied by the salaries they receive and don't think investors deserve any news, or they haven't anything to report............what other explanation is there?....they need to create new products and until I see that, I'm out. They have relied on US-sales in a few locations for a very long time, IMHO.

YES, I have something good to impart;- Take3 a good look at Ennstone (ENN ) Construction & building materials at only 49p But DYOR just look at the last two investment companies who have invested over 58m in this company. This share was one of only three who survived the years suggestions in January2006. But don't take my word for it again DYOR. Best of luck.
Another one for reaching ghreat heights is Vislink, that is certain to be a long term winner

this is still fundamentally a great risk reward play
i have bought ashedload at 5-10p so am clearly biaised ;) but 700k in cash, new pilot at dollywood, new six flags ceo loves the product and the rebrabding is working atreat
expect to see profits this year of 300k , strip out the casha nd its on a PE of 5 , way too cheap considering the patents and IP plus growth opportunity

The market agrees with you and it just shows that "more of the same" can have a dramatic effect on a sp =Up 60% today!
How one wished the future was easier to read.
However, this co has been very silent about everything and no warning that things were a-changing (I recall?).....so I suspect they haven't changed - and yr point about Patents is so-so IMHO - for there are easier ways to do this "Queue-busting" now that everyone has a mobile phone....& why would you want to cary this extra dongle about?
The idea was good when I originally invested, but they have demonstrate a singular lack of ability to develop their business, esp. in the UK - and competitors are already snapping......so, those that made money on the rise today, take it!

Who are the competitors? If this is due to go belly-up, then others must be in the sidelines.
Missed out on this one completely, so anxious to research the others.

theres loads of info on advfn on this one. according to the techies Mobile phone messaging wont work in theme park environments (too many people in a confined area and it would take up to an hour for any sms to arrive.)
Theres no decent competition thats for sure . Loqs product does much more as well - for example when youre within 100 yards of a pizza place it will zap you an advert outside of peak hours saying 2 dollars of a pizza within the next 30 mins etc. Also the new v20/20 system allows you to plan your whole day from one handset - no need to walk physically to each log ion point
exisiting park I expect to see a 10% rise in usage/income. Im presuming that park equates for 60% of turnover or 1.2 million so from that park i expect 1.32 million next year. I expect the other parks to grow income by 25% with LOQ management so that should add another 1.3 million. The two new parks should add turnover of 500k. Dollywood I will add 200k so turnover should be around 3.3 million.
i would expect fixed admin costs to be around 1.4 million and cost of sales higher due to staffing at 35% of turnover or 1.1 million so total costs of 2.5 million. My target profit is therefore 800k or 6-7p a share . Current forward pe then still sub 5

by the way there is zero chance of this going bust - it has 700k in the bank, and will mae around 300k this year.

Purchases of 28k and some mention of a non-uk company forecast and we see a 40% rise in LO-Q....
Yet,
Strangely Buys are only 10% higher than Sales - so where's the justification for 40% uplift? This is a MM's Market, eh?
FWIW, What surprises me even further is that with US suffering massive credit-crunch and job-fears that a Park is predicting massive increases in their Autumn turnover...presumably they mean "income" - or does this include only foot-fall? - who cares?
