Quote and HTML stockwatch problem (BUG)

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 07 Jul 2005 13:06

Hello,

We're currently experiencing a problem with our quote page which will mean that you're unable to get quotes from it.

We're looking into this now and hope to have it fixed shortly.

scrapman,

Stockwatch (both streaming and html) have had no problems today - you may want to try restarting yoru machine. If that does not clear it, then you could delete cookies, by clicking on tools and then dlete browsing history and then delete cookies (this will remove any stored passwords you have on your machine though).

Let me know if this helps or not.

What should be the surfing experience when clicking on a Stockwatch link?

If I click on ZZZ, T, 2 or N, then I have to click repeatedly to get the required result.

I use IE7's pop-up blocker set to ON, and of course, I have to click to allow 'Temporary Pop-ups are Permitted'. So what I experience goes something like the following:

1. Click on N: Screen 'Blips' - but no News
2. Click on N again: Up comes the Pop-up blocked advisor bar.
3. Click on the bar. Pop-ups temporarily allowed.
4. Click on N again: Screen 'Blips' - but still no News.
5. Click on N again: News pop-up page appears.

Am I getting the correct result and enjoying the correct experience? IYSWIM?

Doc,

In essence, yes - the pop up blocker you have on is causing this to happen.

Level 2 running very very slow - taking 20 - 30 seconds just to bring up page?

DocProc - 22 Mar 2007 18:18 - 8 of 9

Do all pop-up blockers do this or just IE7's.

Have I got another way? What's the best pop-up blocker? Anyone?

56 No. Pop-up Blockers - in order of popularity

Doc: FWIW, I just use the blockers that come with Opera 9 (which I use most of the time) and Firefox 2 (which I use the rest of the time0. I haven't used IE7 except when Microsoft force it down my throat to access updates on their website. I don't think it's a great bit of software, quite honestly.

I have no trouble with these (Opera and Firefox) at all.

Cheers
