First Day of Dealings on AIM
Nettworx plc ("Nettworx"), a newly-incorporated company that intends to invest
in the fast-growing area of voice, video and data networks, is pleased to
announce its flotation on AIM today.
* Placing Price of 10p per ordinary share
* Based on the above Placing Price per share the market capitalisation of
Nettworx will be approximately #11.1 million.
* Net proceeds of the Placing will be approximately #9.4 million for the
Company
* Proceeds will be used to provide the funds needed by the Company to
identify and carry out due diligence on potential acquisitions and
investments, to fund investments and to provide working capital for the
company's initial operations in line with its acquisition strategy.
* The Company intends to acquire companies and businesses that can
benefit from the convergence of voice, video and data and has identified a
number of network companies with existing customers and revenues, that lack
either the scale or the technological skill sets to capitalise on the
convergence of technology and telecommunications.
Jonathan Rowland and Jason Drummond, joint executive directors of Nettworx,
said: "We are very pleased to have completed this successful IPO and have been
encouraged by the strong investor support for our plans. We will now begin the
task of evaluating a number of companies with a view to making one or more
acquisitions in 2006."
Canaccord Capital (Europe) Limited is the Company's nominated adviser and
broker.
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Nettworx PLC said Friday that it plans to raise GBP10 million via an initial public offering.
The group, which will issue 111,000,000 Ordinary Shares of 1 pence each to investors, expects to make its debut on the U.K. Alternative Investment Market on Dec. 21.
The newly incorporated company intends to invest in the fast-growing area of voice and data networks. The Company has been formed to take advantage of the increasing convergence between voice, video and data, fixed line and mobile networks.
The Company is headed by Jonathan Rowland, founder of jellyworks, the internet investment company, and Jason Drummond, founder of web hosting group Virtual Internet and and Co-Founder and Chairman of Gaming Corp, an gaming search engine operator.
The executive team is assisted by two non-executive directors, Charlie Muirhead, the founder of Orchestream, a IP telecoms software company and Nexagent, a telecoms process automation software company. As well as Julie Meyer, Chief Executive of Ariadne Capital and founder of First Tuesday.
In addition Brent Hoberman, co-founder of lastminute.com, has agreed to be a founder shareholder in the business.
Nettworx intends to seek the appointment of a senior non-executive chairman early in the New Year, and to recruit further executive directors to the board when appropriate.
Nettworx has hired Canaccord Capital (Europe) as its adviser and broker.
