ANT selected for Telecom Italia IPTV service

- ANT provides complete IPTV set top box software and services
- IPTV service to be available to 8 million households by the end of 2006

ANT plc (AIM: ANTP), the leading provider of advanced client software solutions
for the IPTV and digital TV markets, announced today that Telecom Italia has
selected ANT's complete IPTV set top box software solution for the deployment of
its Alice Home TV service, launched this month.

In partnership with set top box manufacturer Telsey, systems integrator
Accenture and middleware provider Alcatel, ANT is providing Telecom Italia with
a complete certified IPTV software solution, incorporating Alcatel's Open Media
Client software with ANT's proprietary software. ANT will also receive revenue
from the provision of architectural consultancy services in support of the
success of the deployment.

A measure of the potential scale of the deployment is that, having initially
launched in four cities across Italy, Telecom Italia intends to extend the reach
of the Alice Home TV service to 250 towns and cities by the end of 2006,
representing a market of eight million households.

Partnership with Siemens

ANT plc (AIM:ANTP), the leading provider of advanced client software solutions
for the IPTV and digital TV markets, announces that it is partnering with
Siemens AG to create a range of consumer electronics solutions for applications
within major interactive TV markets around the world.

Siemens has licensed ANT's Galio TV application manager for use across a broad
range of Siemens consumer electronics devices for worldwide distribution; all of
ANT's TV software development tools and know-how will be made available to
enable existing and new TV services on Siemens devices.

Trading update

ANT plc, the UK-based developer of software solutions for interactive digital
TV and consumer electronics entertainment devices, reports that it experienced
strong sales in the final quarter of 2005 and, as a result, trading for the
year ended 31 December 2005 was in line with market expectations.

During the financial year to 31 December 2005, 30 new licences were signed with
clients including Siemens AG, Pirelli Broadband Solutions SpA and LG
Electronics.

Cash balances at year-end stood at 9.2m representing approximately 38 pence
per share.

The Company expects to make a preliminary announcement of its results for the
year ended 31 December 2005, in early March 2006.

'It is pleasing to be able to report that ANT experienced very strong demand
for its software products in the final quarter of 2005, underlining ANT's
continuing strength in the market.

ANT FY pretax loss narrows to 1.08 mln stg; chairman Tony Chaplin resigns

LONDON (AFX) - Internet TV software company ANT PLC narrowed its full-year pretax loss and said that, due to the scale of its overall market opportunity, a substantial acceleration of R&D spending for 2007 is justified, which will delay it from becoming profitable.

ANT reported a pretax loss of 1.08 mln stg for the year to Dec 31, 2006 from 1.81 mln in the same period last year. Turnover rose to 3.70 mln stg from 2.51 mln a year ago.

ANT said it expects its 2007 revenue growth to be 'broadly' in line with the company's previous expectations.

'Expectations for 2007 revenue growth are positive, with the group's major customers predicting continued growth in shipment volumes as network rollouts increase,' chief executive SA Woodward said.

In a separate release, the company said it has appointed Royston Hoggarth as its new non-executive chairman, succeeding Tony Caplin, who has resigned from the board, effective March 5.
