In the past Ive never liked this electronic flat speaker company as its always been a jam tomorrow story, a would be blue skyer with plenty of froth on the top with a management who have failed miserably in my opinion. Ive even shorted it and made a few bob out of it but very recently I have done a 'u' turn on the company and have gone long, the reasons being that the company have a new MD in place and the guy appears to be getting his team pulling together and gone are the silly corporate mistakes of the past.
Its recently won its first mass production license with Toyota who are forecast to become the biggest car manufacturer in the world overtaking GM.
Today it as given out a very Bullish statement after the recent CES trade fair and the share price as reacted strongly to the news in the last half hour.
I beleive its worth having a punt up to the results as in the past they have usually moved up around 30% to the interims in late february. At the interims its then a case of waying up future development forward.
DYOR.

Todays Bullish statement......
Strong start to 2006 as NXT enjoys its best CES yet
13 Jan 2006
Last weeks 2006 Consumer Electronics Show, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, proved to be the most productive yet for NXT, the Huntingdon-based provider of unique sound solutions. Historically a platform for NXT to meet with its licensees and evaluate new business opportunities, CES has been a permanent fixture on the events calendar since NXT was formed in 1996.
Demonstrating a selection of in-market products and new concepts (including prototypes featuring its recently announced Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) technology) NXT held back-to-back product planning and development meetings with numerous licensees and potential partners in its two suites at the Las Vegas Hilton over the course of the four days of the show. In addition to recording progress with a number of existing partners, NXT also secured significant interest from a host of new names keen to evaluate NXT technologies for forthcoming products and applications.
Following a recent wave of media and industry interest in BMR, NXTs latest technology proved popular with meeting attendees, the vast majority of whom were able to experience its potential for the first time. Both circular and high aspect ratio formats of the technology were demonstrated in NXTs audio suite together with the latest generation SurfaceSound-based concepts. In NXTs display suite, prototype audio solutions for TVs, PCs and portable communication devices were shown alongside existing NXT-equipped products from Philips, NEC and Toshiba.
NXT-based products also featured prominently on the CES show floor, with recently introduced solutions from Kensington, Logitech, Philips and Oregon Scientific grabbing the attention of show visitors. LGs XCanvas home theatre system made its North American debut at the show and was recognised by the CES Innovations panel, picking up an award in the home theatre category of the 2006 show awards.
Long term NXT licensee TEAC unveiled its stylish new MC-D220i Made for iPod 2.1 system, complete with in-built iPod docking cradle, CD player, FM/AM radio and ultra slim NXT satellite loudspeakers. Due for launch later in 2006, the wall mountable system is finished in brushed silver and features a motorised CD loading mechanism, while the iPod cradle can be fitted with dock adaptors to accommodate any iPod. Also unveiled at the show was an extremely compact pair of USB-powered desktop speakers from computer peripherals specialist i-rocks. The IR-2010 is available in a choice of white, green or blue finishes and is supplied with a separate battery pack, making the speakers perfect for use with portable audio devices when on the move.
Attendance at NXTs annual media event was boosted by interest in the recently announced Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV featuring NXT-equipped roof liner speaker system, and media reaction to the latest products and prototypes was overwhelmingly positive. In total, over 50 journalists from leading publications and broadcast outlets from countries around the world including Germany, Sweden, Canada, the US, and the UK visited NXTs suites.
NXT also enjoyed strong media coverage at the show itself with an appearance for Chief Commercial Officer, Graham Ryan, on The Consumer Electronics Channel, shown continually throughout Las Vegas for the duration of CES. During the slot (within the Hot Products interlude), Graham presented one of NXTs latest BMR prototypes, a bookshelf loudspeaker system, while describing the technologys inherent attributes and benefits. BMR was also the subject of a news article in an issue of the show publication TWICE CES Daily, which also covered details of the Toyota FJ Cruiser.
Commenting on the show, NXTs Chief Commercial Officer, Graham Ryan, said we were extremely encouraged by the reaction to our latest products and prototypes, most of which feature our next generation technologies. Key industry decision makers and media influencers noted NXTs obvious performance improvements over previous products and were clearly impressed by the number of world-class products we demonstrated from our existing licensees. CES continues to provide NXT with valuable opportunities to reach key targets and were confident this years show has laid the foundations for a successful 2006.

system
NXT today confirms that the new FJ Cruiser Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) from
Toyota, one of the world's largest auto manufacturers, will feature an
NXT-equipped roof liner sound system when it goes on sale in North America from
March 2006.
The first mass production vehicle in the world to incorporate NXT SurfaceSound
technology in the roof liner, the FJ Cruiser is the latest in a long line of
4x4's from Toyota and is designed to appeal to both serious off-roaders and
those looking for a stylish SUV that combines practical features and state of
the art comfort.
Powered by a 4.0L V6 24-valve engine, the FJ Cruiser is available with a choice
of six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission and is equally at home
on the highways as it is on mountain treks or jungle safaris.
The FJ Cruiser's cabin combines luxury features including air conditioning and
multi-adjust high-comfort seats with practical essentials such as easy to adjust
controls and wipe-clean seats and trim panels. The robust interior is completed
with the addition of the NXT-based roof liner loudspeaker system which
complements the FJ Cruiser's conventional speakers to create a broad,
omni-directional dispersion of high quality sound that fills the cabin and
envelopes passengers.
The vehicle is available with a choice of three audio systems, with an AM/FM/CD
system with six speakers fitted as standard (including NXT-based roof liner).
The other options include an eight speaker system with six-disc CD changer and a
nine speaker system, complete with subwoofer.
NXT Chief Commercial Officer, Graham Ryan, commented, 'we are delighted to
confirm that Toyota will introduce the world's first mass-production vehicle to
be offered with NXT technology as standard. The FJ Cruiser's NXT-based sound
system produces an incredible audio performance unlike any other vehicle on the
road. As well as being one of the largest, Toyota is also one of world's most
respected auto manufacturers, and we are pleased to be associated with them.'

It would appear that this co. is starting to do the big deals, something I was hoping for yrs ago - I was drawn to this share very early on in it's life as a tech co. when the flat speaker was it's new techology way ahead of the field when it was then called Verity (it's core business was drum manufacture)
Since then it has seen many ups and downs but this can be a really exciting performer and I firmly believe we are now going to see the sp take off this yr. The exciting thing is that the tech all patented and ahead of it's rivals (originally evolved from MOD R&D) can be used in a staggering number of devices and anyone using it will pay royalties to NXT.
It is clear now that the way forward is this NXT "flat" technology and Toyota have endorsed this product - many will follow. I expect this to be the yr for many licencing agreements and the co. to turn around into a profitable leader in it's field. Think of it as the new Dolby and you can see what I mean. The graph also looks extremely promising as the TA rises, the price holding at 64 indicates a move to 90 and with more news could see the 1 level breached again soon.

Many thanks robstuff and frampton, your views are much appreciated. I see it did fall away a little in the afternoon friday, mind having said that a lot did as did the markets in general. I just love that bullish statement re- to the CES and the way forward in general. This chap in charge is ex ARM I beleive , he looks to be made of stern stuff.
Its worth having a look at previous years going up to results note the historical rise. Going to have a few more Monday.

A speculative article from another Board, could it be NTX are about to announce other mass producer car manufacturers as customers?????????????????????.
Interesting debate taking place on TMF BB hears an extract.Hi Roger,
First off let me clear the point that it was a client not a freind that this conversation took place with.
Further to my post iv'e done a follow up with my client to try and pin point his information, in the first instance i asked him how he got his information,he recieves these cars approx 3-6 months before their offical release, along with a full spec sheet of what the cars contain,he will need to know the details of the spec as this is obviously the key selling point of the car, Now when i spoke to him yesterday i asked him about the toyota and reported his reply, i then asked if he knew of any other releases imminent, and he said there were ,Toyota,Honda and mercedes, and i asked him if he was sure these were NXT enabled,he said they were not given the details of the company names,of supplyers on their spec sheet, only that they were flat panel speaker systems, the same as the toyota, and i got the impression, IMO, that he and his collegues were expecting more.
IMHO that this guy isn't an invester, his conversation was very matter of fact.
I know my integreity was questioned over the Hadens e-mail and i posted the entire e-mail as proof, this is a conversation that took place, and my honest report of the conversation,it is not my intention to ramp or mislead, only let other fools know what i know, for the benifit,i hope, of us all.
good lovin

Although the two Toyota deals will not have any material effect on the interims in February they will certainly affect the finals later in the year.
I expect the broker forecasts to be smashed albeit from a low base, and I do expect the house broker to upggrade forecasts.
Bodes well for the SP.

Morning GF - I have been watching this for some time now, missed the spike a couple of weeks ago and have subsequently made a small investment. I do think the prospects are reasonably good and I think this technology will bring about a step change. As I understand it they have always had problems with the Bass element - but perhaps that has been cracked now.
Any way - on board again
