Traders Thread - Wednesday 25th January (TRAD)

Greystone - 24 Jan 2006 21:25

Greystone - 24 Jan 2006 21:25 - 2 of 7

Hello traders!

US stocks ended higher for a second straight session tonight on the back of a fall in oil prices and good earnings reports from United Technologies and McDonald's.

The Dow rose 23.45 points to 10,712.22, while the Nasdaq Composite was up 16.78 points at 2,265 and the S&P500 climbed 3.04 points to 1,266.86.

Crude prices continued to ease with the benchmark March contract down $1.04 at $67.06 a barrel.

A good list of ex-dividends tomorrow with DSGI maybe the most significant.

See you in the morning with updates........

Midday Market Summary

Afternoon All,

Had to have a smile after reading this:

"Looking ahead to Wall Street, stocks are tipped to start the session higher, with investors cheered by today's bounce in Europe."

Roll reversal perhaps? -):

End-of-day Market Summary.

A great day all round. Hope you all made lots of "dinero" and enjoyed the ride.

Off now to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Rabbie Burns, and, more precisely, Greystone's. (Mrs G reckons RB and I must be about the same age anyway...)
