US stocks turned mixed late in the session after the Federal Reserve statement accompanying its quarter percentage point rate hike left open the possibility of further rate increases.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was last up 7 points at 10,907, rebounding from a low of 10,862 hit shortly after the rate decision. The Nasdaq Composite was up 3 points at 2,310, while the S&P500 slipped 1 point to 1,283.
In Asia today, the Nikkei has closed down for the first time in seven days, losing 169.73 points at 16,480.09 on profit-taking. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng was recently down 63.07 points at 15,690.07.
New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for March delivery, was down 37 cents at $67.55 a barrel from its close of $67.92 in the US.
Good results from Roche this morning might give the pharma sector a boost.

near escape, didn't check the val to point and what should have gone through as a 1 a point, went through as 10 a point (yeah I know last of the big spenders me!) anyway thankfully closed trade in profit but not aiming to do that again in a hurry! ;>)
