Stan - Have a look at the Input&Output spec.
It appeals to me on price - £299 and built in WIFI.

Probably not. The Ethernet sockets on TVs are usually to connect to a router to get it online. However, that is not always the case.

I have a Samsung 40" LED smart TV & it's lovely. Apparently I can control it with my Samsung Galaxy phone, but never bothered. No wi-fi connection, mine is hooked up by ethernet socket. Also have a Sony 46" which isn't a patch on the Samsung for style, build quality etc.

Looks quite smart skinny, though it's amazing now how poor the speakers (in all TV's) are as there just isn't sufficient room in the set to put deep speakers. Of course it's another way they can now sell sound bars as an extra!
Clearly your investments are returning good profits to be able to buy a new PC and TV !!!! ;o)

I wish! - had my 1st real problem with the pc today - I appear to have inadvertently downloaded 'delta search' today, which is a pain.

Pair of PC viruses help each other survive
Two computer viruses that collaborate are proving hard to clean from infected PCs, Microsoft research suggests.
The pair of viruses foil removal by regularly downloading updated versions of their malware partner.

how did you discover you had the virus, was it picked up by avast/avg which ever you use?

BB - if you are asking me, then its not a virus per se, it seems to be a data collecting search engine which I certainly didn't intentionally download - I must have missed an 'untick' option.
I've uninstalled it etc etc, but I can't stop it opening in the 1st tab of Chrome, which I have set up to open half a dozen tabs on launch - so at the moment, I'm just closing the 1st tab.

That looks interesting - although it appears to install itself as the default browser on installation - a tad presumptive!

Skinny, if you're using avast that might remove it - I used it to clean my browsers up and remove a similar piece of software. Can you re-set the tabs that open when your browser is opened?

Seymour - I have run avast -but to no avail, I had to reset the google start tabs and default search engine etc as 'delta search' had made itself the default.
Other sites/engines operate in a similar manner, but its normally straight forward to consign them to the bin.
Until I find a 'domestos' type solution, I'll just delete the 1st tab.

Skinners,
I inadvertently installed Yontoo a few weeks back - it drove me nuts.
Have you followed
these instructions? They should hopefully do the trick. With Yontoo, I also needed to run a full scan coupled with a boot scan (before Windows loads) to stop the damn thing from re-installing.

Hils - yes - I've managed to get rid of Yontoo, Delta search and a couple of others that came at the same time.
I just can't stop it (delta search) opening in the 1st tab of Chrome - even though I've removed all references to it.
I'll run a search tonight and see if I can find where the bugger is and if that fails, re-install Chrome.
As you say - bloody annoying, it seems to be the way that most packaged software is presented now, with several 'opt out' options - I guess the lesson is to be more careful!

A way of getting rid of stubborn viruses is to reboot windows into safe mode (F8 on boot) and run a scan then.
If that doesn't do it then create a new user with admin powers and reboot into that used to do your scans. It works quite well as the new user will only have the minimum of features loaded and running for it.

Have you looked at the settings for home page. It can be set to open an extra tab when it starts up by having two URLS in the home page entry settings.

Yes I have MAM (sad I know) as my homepage in Internet options, but I have a predefined range of pages that Chrome opens when started - but delta search is opening in front of my defined range in the 1st tab.

Have you check the URLs in the settings box to make sure it has not edited the list and out itself first?
