World cup 2010, What chances for the Home sides and Ireland !. (2010)

required field - 12 Oct 2008 18:43

Thought I'd start a football blog, we might keep this going until 2010.....England doing well....did not see the match or even the goals....I'd like Michael owen back in the squad though....and I think Peter Crouch would make a very good substitute...remember against Argentina in Geneva a few years ago....with Michael Owen and some very good movements on and off the ball...they caused havoc.....did see Scotland's missed chance....that could be very costly losing those 2 points !.

I would like to see Capello keep his Jobhe is a quality manager and I believe his body language tells me he wants success with Englandthe money is a handy by-product!!
Then appoint Beckham as his right hand man to groom for the futurethen fcuk off all our so called superstarsGoalkeeper:- keep James but work on Joe HartDefenders:- keep Glen JohnsonMichael DawsonAshley Colefcuk the rest off and bring in hungry younger playersMidfield:-keep Aaron LennonJames Milnerfcuk the rest off and bring in hungry younger playersand plenty to choose fromForwards:- Keep Jermain DefoeWayne Rooneyand make sure Capello tells Rooney to play as he tells himor be prepared to get fcuked off along with the rest of our teams forwards.
Keep the new squad together once selectedirrespective of form dipsnothing more comforting to a player that gives his allthan the assurance from his manager that he is selected for his talent and not just his last performance
Then stop questioning Capellos decisionssit back and watch a young hungry team blossomthat will show their manager respectand their Country passion

ANY OTHER PATH WILL RESULT IN CONTINUED FAILURE!!!

If Brazil get past Holland and that's a big if...because the Dutch look pretty good to me, then they would go to the final to meet whom ?.....might be Spain but Argentina look impressive......and how can anybody right off the Germans....I would love to see either Holland or Spain lift the trophy because : neither of them have ever won it !.

required field - 01 Jul 2010 15:09 - 1042 of 1154

England's big problem is that they cannot seem to retain possession without losing the ball after a few passes in midfield....if as a player you bump into traffic : pass the ball back to a player behind you : this has to work !...everytime we do this: we promptly lose the ball...crazy !....

Clubman3509 - 01 Jul 2010 15:10 - 1043 of 1154

Well said Tabby, but these super stars heads are full of their own self importance. I have a good idea if they win more games than lose in the year tax them at 0 if they lose more tax them 98% of all global earnings.

jkd - 01 Jul 2010 15:33 - 1044 of 1154

why was Gerrard, the captain, so quiet? the press conference following the match said both he and fabio would make statements and answer questions, and yet he didnt.maybe he did but i didnt hear it.did i miss something? surely the england captain had a right to put forward and speak up for and on behalf of the team players. dont he?
an apology or at the very least an explanation would have been acceptable. why didnt he speak or be allowed to answer questions? or did he and was he? did i miss it?

hmm, seems the article I posted earlier about Gerrard and Rooney may have some foundation, just been informed both have pulled out of a charity type do in 2 weeks time. Seemingly its on the teletext board on page 302 BBC 1.

Chris Carson - 01 Jul 2010 22:08 - 1047 of 1154

And hands up who gives a shit anyway!

goldfinger - 02 Jul 2010 01:18 - 1048 of 1154

Might explain why Rooney looked shagged out Chris..........smile.

Chris Carson - 02 Jul 2010 01:38 - 1049 of 1154

Naaah goldfinger, he was well shagged out well before he arrived in SA carrying Man U, playing with an injury when Ferguson should have rested him, that is by the bye incidentally Man U pay his wages at the end of the day. Cannot see the point in in all this rumour mongering regarding who is shagging who. England were crap end of! Capello hopefully will have learned an awful lot about managing an International side and as long as they stuff Wales and hopefully get an opportunity to stuff Scotland(again) in the Euro Championship, the futures bright :o)

Dil - 02 Jul 2010 09:10 - 1050 of 1154

For once I agree with tabby but would also keep Gerrard ... rest of the overpaid , overated crap should be got rid of.

Given the last internet rumour about Gerrard was unfounded (probably started off by some sad Chelsea fan) then I wouldn't be suprised if this one is more bullsh*t although the split in the camp was along the lines of Terry and the Chelsea Chumps and Gerrard/Carragher apparently.

Clubman3509 - 02 Jul 2010 09:13 - 1051 of 1154

Wait and see

required field - 02 Jul 2010 09:25 - 1052 of 1154

Anyway...anybody got a bet on the Dutch beating the Carioca boys ?.

Chris Carson - 02 Jul 2010 10:14 - 1053 of 1154

Until there is a clear out of the knobheads who run the English FA, a mandate giving the England manager a lot more power and support over Premiership managers on the release of players, we might just see some progress. Jamie Carragher World Cup 2006 missed a penalty, his response "At least it wasn't for Liverpool" he should never been allowed to put on England shirt again. Until the Club v Country situation is resolved if it ever can be, then any manager in charge of England will continue to struggle. Tabby might just have the answer?

Clubman3509 - 02 Jul 2010 10:19 - 1054 of 1154

How will we take this man seriously?

Treblewide - 02 Jul 2010 10:54 - 1055 of 1154
