Paul - I enjoy reading your research, I even enjoy your predictions - which I take with a fair pinch of salt on some - but I dont enjoy you rubbing my nose in how much you earn and how many thousands of shares you got. Spare a thought for us paupers living on our pension - theres a good chap.

Does anyone else think it strange that this afternoons press release specifically said that starpol/greenseal packaging was "just being introduced into US and british supermarkets"
Has any mention of a US connection been specifically mentioned in a press release before?
I just think it odd everyone's not jumping up and down at that one line in the middle of a broader press release.

Take what he says about his earnings and share holdings with a massive dose of salt as well, he's been caught out so often with his lies even he would admit to being a compusive liar.

Sham - I read everyones comments with interest - even yours and Captain Guides - and apply my own reasoning and logic. That way I can't blame anyone else if the share price takes off or collapses. Paul does at least support his predictions with his assumptions which enables you to make your own decisions.

If I predicted 20 per share you'd want to listen to me as well, unfortuantly I stick to truth and fact based price targets, not pie in the sky unachievable feel good one's.

Note he's never answered my question about the market cap being equal to BP if his prediction ever came true, seems even he see's the embarresment behind his claim.
I'll leave you to it today, i'm busy elsewhere.

Now driver - lets not go overboard - I know you are being playful but lets keep your research page as it is - which is arguably the best source of information and research containing facts not speculation for any new punter.

morning all. i suppose , at first glance, yesterday's rns is good news. i wouldn't get too excited yet, though, until seo tell us what the "number" is.

Morning all. Been thinking about yesterdays RNS and "as expected" means , to me, the number predicted by SEO previously. If their expectations had changed for the better, then we would have had an RNS or an EVO note to say so. Had their expectations changed for the worse, then no RNS and no mention of the changed expectations this time would surely be in breach of regulations. Therefore I am of the opinion (for what its worth) that 200 conversions is still the expected conversion in the 12 month period and there is nothing to make the board think any differently. This however applies only to the UK. Other countries are another story and that may be the next filip for this share.

fair point , alan. the problem i have is that nobody apart from seo knows what was "expected". what "as expected " means to seo and what " as expected " means to the market could be poles apart.

Point taken, Boz, and we will all put our own spin on it. That is what makes this fun. I read it in exactly the same way as you would read a trading update that said profits would be in line with expectations, and that usually refers to market expectations. My concern is about the patent sale. If I were thinking negatively, could I be persuaded that SEO were looking at their cash flow forecasts and seeing trouble ahead, and looking to sell some family silver to ease the issue? I don't think that is the case, but there are still one or two bears not yet hibernating who may wish to portray that.

Maybe a trivial point - but I specifically wrote down that IB said at the EGM was that there were "some" hundreds of machines to be converted. Now I dont know whether some means 1, 2 or 10 - but I thought it interesting at the time that he used the word some and not several or two. He also commented at the time that even if there was not another single order - that they had enough cash to operate for at least another 18 months.
OK that was nearly 2 months ago and there will have been some changes - but that was the info at the time

Now. what do you make of this, from the above release: " Stanelco intends to divest the filter tow technology to focus on its starch businesses, including Starpol 2000(TM) and GREENSEAL(TM) biodegradable packaging, which are just being introduced across a wide range of product packaging in U.S. and British supermarkets."
What US supermarkets and what product are they talking about???

Alan, interestesting comments, however I do not think the sale of patents in this case represents a need for cashflow. Rather I think it is encouraging that they are focusing their attentions.
