Which would undoubtedly be far more accurate than a man's 9", Skinners.

For a very happy relationship, the best length for a man to have is one that is 'just right' and 'fits perfectly'.

Balerboy - 24 Mar 2014 17:19 - 10534 of 11003

Unless you know different skinny........ hilary is also a male name.........lol

ExecLine - 24 Mar 2014 18:23 - 10535 of 11003

eg. As in 'Sir Head Man Hilary'.

Nothing surprises me any more. Anyhow, as birds or blokes go, he/she does have unforgettably long cracking legs.

hilary - 25 Mar 2014 10:06 - 10536 of 11003

Unfortunately, Doc, one of those unforgettably long cracking legs is gonna have some holes drilled in it soon and it might not be quite so cracking after that.

:o(

ExecLine - 25 Mar 2014 11:29 - 10537 of 11003

New hip?

Nah....

Hmmm?

I bet you've been skiing? Surely, you're not repairing a broken leg from it?

hilary - 25 Mar 2014 11:48 - 10538 of 11003

ACL reconstruction, Doc. I ruptured it 11 years ago, although I've been able to ski and play tennis with a knee brace in that time, but it's not stable and I've finally decided to let Mr Dinah loose on it with a Black and Decker and his fancy telescope thingey. If I get it done next month, I'll be able to do all the rehab in France during the summer and then get back to Switzerland by the end of the year.

You have been talking about how good is ... AdwCleaner v3.018

I can see a new ... AdwCleaner v3.020 is now out
do you think the 18 is better than the new 20?

and do you have a link direct to the company?
thanks

ExecLine - 25 Mar 2014 13:19 - 10540 of 11003

Hils,

I've just been watching a mind blowing animation on ACL Reconstruction on YouTube. I won't put the clip on here but here's a link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz0_1VCVP_w

There are actually quite a lot of such video clips. Hey! Better than a Black and Decker is needed for this stuff, Hilary, but I dare bet these guys are absolutely 'Ace' at putting shelves up, etc.

Haystack - 25 Mar 2014 13:22 - 10541 of 11003

Hils
Have you seen this? It is called the Ski Mojo. I saw it being used on CNN a couple of days ago

Try here: http://general-changelog-team.fr/en/downloads/viewdownload/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner

The Download button is pale lime green, has an arrow aiming downwards and is labelled 'Telecharger (download)'

This version is actually AdwCleaner v3.022.

As usual when doing downloads/installs, do take care on what boxes you tick and as a general rule, don't install anything other than the program itself.

Once it's up and running, do a Scan and it will check out Chrome, IE, Firefox browsers for you. It's simple to use. And you can clear out any crap that it finds, if it actually does find any, quite easily.

HARRYCAT - 25 Mar 2014 13:47 - 10543 of 11003

Italian student has now gone off to the public library to do research (student start time is usually about now!) and also to find out if her laptop can access their WiFi. I expect the whole of Norwich to be blacked out any time soon.

I see Orange/EE have had yet another extensive outage over the last 24 hours, which isn't helping my diagnostics either! :o(

hilary - 25 Mar 2014 18:59 - 10544 of 11003

Doc,

The surgery doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'll be asleep anyway, and I'll be sure to tell 'em which knee it is beforehand. What bothers me is the rehab which is meant to be really hard work and last between 6 and 9 months.

Haystack,

I've already got a pukka hinged knee brace for ACL problems that I use to ski and play tennis. I don't have any issue with core strength as I've worked hard on my quads and all the surrounding muscles over the years which compensate for not having an ACL. The problem is that you come back after a few hours and, not only is the thing saturated with sweat, but you're also left with massive red compression marks where the thing has been so tight that it's cut off half your blood supply.

The other problem is that there's an underlaying instability which manifests when you don't expect it. I can be standing still and twist very slightly and my knee will just give way and I'll collapse in a heap. It only happens once every 6 months or a year, but it's not particularly nice (and a bit embarrassing if you're out at the time).

ExecLine - 26 Mar 2014 09:29 - 10545 of 11003

Out of interest, Hils, and you are probably insured anyway, what's an op' like that cost?

Of course, there are other costs too other than the surgeon's bill, but I got to turning the question round, having watched the animation, and wondered what I would want to charge out for doing, and being able to do, operations like that.

hilary - 26 Mar 2014 10:29 - 10546 of 11003

About £5.5k, Doc, but I'm not covered and my husband doesn't know that he's paying yet.

:o)

ExecLine - 26 Mar 2014 10:50 - 10547 of 11003

That's just about 1 yr's IT Fees for the household + side perks. So you're worth it, I'm sure.

:-)

For all you whimps still scared to use :-

Windows XP users face end to Microsoft support

HARRYCAT - 08 Apr 2014 08:04 - 10549 of 11003

I don't think most machines with XP on them will run 7 or 8, so it's not just a matter of upgrading the software. Can't decide whether to buy a PC, Laptop or tablet, but think PC is my preferred option.

Balerboy - 08 Apr 2014 08:48 - 10550 of 11003

Join the government harry..... they're still on XP, along with 50% of the country, skinny got nothing else to spend his dosh on.......clever clogs.,.
