A question for you html boy & girls. I use charts from mam for reference purposes, I use notebook in windows xp for the job. All works fine but would like to add notes below the chart. I can type my note below the chart entry in notebook but when viewed as web page it gets squeezed to the side between the next chart instead of below the chart I want it to belong to. There must be a bit of code to add to my written note to make a gap between two charts to allow my notes to stay where I want it. Hope you can make sense of this, cheers BB.

A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Thanks panto, will try that. What code controls colour? Skinny, in notebook typing under chart doesn't work.

I assume you copy and paste from notebook?

If so and you don't to fart around with HTML, why not copy, paste and then edit either before posting or after posting?

The &ltfont&gt tag controls color (sic) amongst other things.

Time to start using the HTML Purifier Library methinks and get W3C compliant.

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 08:02 - 10601 of 11003

Hilary - I'd have left it red ! :-)

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 08:09 - 10602 of 11003

BB - remind me - which browser do you use?

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 08:11 - 10604 of 11003

firefox

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 08:33 - 10605 of 11003

Ok - I'm not familiar with it, but most browsers have an option to 'copy an image URL'.

All I do with Chrome, is hover over a MAM chart, copy the image URL and then paste it into the posting box as follows.

&ltimg src="image url "&gt

and then type any required text - or insert further HTML for links/images/formatting etc.

So to insert the chart as in post 10594 above :-

&ltimg src="http://charts.moneyam.com/Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=UKX&Size=900&Skin=BlackBlue&Type=3&Scale=0&Cycle=DAY1&Span=YEAR1&IND=MACD(26,12,9);RSI(14)&Layout=2Line;Default;Price;HisDate&XCycle=&XFormat="&gt

I've removed the SMAs to shorten the posting line length in the above example.

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 08:47 - 10606 of 11003

I do same, get up a chart, click paste to bulletin board, copy code. Then open notepad (sorry been calling it notebook) and paste code there. the problem is the charts stick close together one under the other and leave no space for a comment, even if you drop a line when you type in notepad.

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 08:52 - 10607 of 11003

Why don't you do it all in the posting box?

panto - 10 Jun 2014 08:56 - 10608 of 11003

RE - red post 10593
< br > IS THE CLUE

edited ( deleted) post as MAM deletes front ( closing )

By putting all the stock charts in one place I can scroll down through all in one web page and see how they're performing, rather than looking at individual charts.
edit: Thanks panto works great.,.
