Hilary - I'd have left it red ! :-)

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 08:09 - 10602 of 11003

I copy and paste TO notebook from mam's charts, just need to create a break to type a note, panto's break hopefully will do it.,.

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 08:11 - 10603 of 11003

BB - remind me - which browser do you use?

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 08:11 - 10604 of 11003

firefox

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 08:33 - 10605 of 11003

Ok - I'm not familiar with it, but most browsers have an option to 'copy an image URL'.

All I do with Chrome, is hover over a MAM chart, copy the image URL and then paste it into the posting box as follows.

&ltimg src="image url "&gt

and then type any required text - or insert further HTML for links/images/formatting etc.

So to insert the chart as in post 10594 above :-

&ltimg src="http://charts.moneyam.com/Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=UKX&Size=900&Skin=BlackBlue&Type=3&Scale=0&Cycle=DAY1&Span=YEAR1&IND=MACD(26,12,9);RSI(14)&Layout=2Line;Default;Price;HisDate&XCycle=&XFormat="&gt

I've removed the SMAs to shorten the posting line length in the above example.

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 08:47 - 10606 of 11003

I do same, get up a chart, click paste to bulletin board, copy code. Then open notepad (sorry been calling it notebook) and paste code there. the problem is the charts stick close together one under the other and leave no space for a comment, even if you drop a line when you type in notepad.

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 08:52 - 10607 of 11003

Why don't you do it all in the posting box?

panto - 10 Jun 2014 08:56 - 10608 of 11003

RE - red post 10593
< br > IS THE CLUE

edited ( deleted) post as MAM deletes front ( closing )

vacuum_guys.jpg MAM Suck!

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 08:59 - 10609 of 11003

By putting all the stock charts in one place I can scroll down through all in one web page and see how they're performing, rather than looking at individual charts.
edit: Thanks panto works great.,.

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 09:00 - 10610 of 11003

Ok - I think we are talking at slightly crossed purposes :-)

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 09:04 - 10611 of 11003

my fault i expect thanks for help.,.

hilary - 10 Jun 2014 09:08 - 10612 of 11003

Skinners, the concept of leaving it in red clearly employs the 'if it's broke, why fix it' strategy which has served me well over many a year.

Panto,

It's not £am who suck, it's your HTML which was badly malformed - that's the only reason there was a problem. Look, it's easy to switch colour.

Edit: When you typed <font color=green> MAM Suck! </font>, you were using attributes which are unsupported by the document declaration and, if you do use those attributes which are fortunately still supported by most browsers, you should have at least encased the color. It's far better, however, to use CSS style tags like this - <font style="color:green">Panto's HTML sucks </font>

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 09:22 - 10613 of 11003

Hillery, how do you insert change of colour code with the text?

hilary - 10 Jun 2014 09:24 - 10614 of 11003

I've added an edit to my post which demonstrates the method, BB.

Balerboy - 10 Jun 2014 09:25 - 10615 of 11003

seen it thanks.,.

panto - 10 Jun 2014 11:40 - 10616 of 11003

hilary

It is your asumption BUT YOU ARE WRONG, WRONG AND WRONG again

anything you can do I can do it better is my motto

My knowledge of HTML is well stablised for over 10 years

On doing something simple as you did and you are also works,
but not when is letters that do not show as -& l t - = < Alright CLEVER CLOGGS .................... C R A Z Y !
with " "
C R A Z Y !

an apology will be welcome

hilary - 10 Jun 2014 13:32 - 10617 of 11003

Apology? I'm not the person who screwed the thread up, remember?

But I'm sure Mikey is sat at the end of the phone awaiting your call....

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 13:52 - 10618 of 11003

Does anyone else remember Addo doing this?

hilary - 10 Jun 2014 13:56 - 10619 of 11003

I remember him doing something else though, Skinners. Anyone got a light switch?

skinny - 10 Jun 2014 13:57 - 10620 of 11003
