Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

cynic - 24 Dec 2018 16:25 - 11079 of 12628

many were given no choice about joining a union if they wanted the job

Stan - 24 Dec 2018 16:29 - 11080 of 12628

Go back to bed Alf this is big boys talk.

Fred1new - 24 Dec 2018 18:56 - 11081 of 12628

The union rejected him.

and a huge blessing with hindsight

Stan - 25 Dec 2018 15:47 - 11085 of 12628

In what way with hindsight?

Fred1new - 25 Dec 2018 18:00 - 11086 of 12628

It probably prevented the Unions embarrassment of having to expel him after he had joined.

Well he's nearly as old as some of the gammon on this thread, Dilbert, so I doubt you'll see him turning up at rallies in person, if that's what you mean.

But, his money is helping fund the Best for Britain campaign, which, together with the People's Vote campaign through various media, is attempting to show the negative impact of Brexit on the economy and the British people. Personally, I think they're doing quite a good job in a moderately subtle way (Brexit is currently priced around evens as happening at all), and I suspect the calls for a People's Vote will reach fever pitch once Maggie Dismay tries to get her Withdrawal Bill through Parliament again in the new year.

You've been around long enough.... you know fully well that these things are all about timing and squeeky bums. Shoot their bolts too early, and they get labelled as sour-grapes Bremoaners and allow the Brextremists time to counter - the aim is to turn peoples' heads without them even realising that they've been turned.

Fred1new - 30 Dec 2018 12:09 - 11094 of 12628

Happy New Year for Dil.

Fred1new - 30 Dec 2018 13:52 - 11095 of 12628

To cheer Dil and Georgie boy up!

'Brexit 50-50' if May's deal rejected, says Liam Fox
5 hours ago

Senior Brexiteer minister Liam Fox says there is a 50-50 chance the UK will not leave the EU on 29 March if MPs reject Theresa May's Brexit deal next month.

Dil - 31 Dec 2018 07:33 - 11096 of 12628

Brexit Year Eve.

Happy days.

Fred1new - 31 Dec 2018 09:15 - 11097 of 12628

Perhaps the truth?
