STORMCALLER - 09 Aug 2004 23:39 - 11219 of 23498

Evening All,
What a day, far too much excitement, far too much red, had six turn blue at 16:29 but frankly don't trust the data. Evening started to look up with visit from godson, just left so returned to stockwatch, half my stuff showing 0, appropriate end to the day I feel.
Need something cold but lively, only a bottle of fizz will do, cheers!

chocolat - 10 Aug 2004 00:00 - 11220 of 23498

Cheers dd - it might be so.. ;)

STORMCALLER - 10 Aug 2004 00:03 - 11221 of 23498

hello & g,night chocolat.

STORMCALLER - 10 Aug 2004 00:41 - 11222 of 23498

All that excessive activity has worn me out, bottle empty and too tired to open another, so throw it in the recycler, and depart.
Wishes for a simpler day tomorrow.
Goodnight,
SC

jj50 - 10 Aug 2004 09:19 - 11223 of 23498

Morning all. In for a quick cup of coffee before heading out for morning. See Cairn Energy had another find - can't remember which team had that but it wasn't us girls, well done whoever - can't stop that Bill Gammell

optomistic - 10 Aug 2004 10:14 - 11224 of 23498

Morning all. VERY wet here, looking for some blue on the market today, only place we are going to get it today.

jeffmack - 10 Aug 2004 10:56 - 11225 of 23498

Looking through the posts above it seems like everyones been very wet, hot and steamy. I was in Killarney for the weekend at a wedding, had a great time, very friendly people over there and countryside is outstanding.

stockbunny - 10 Aug 2004 12:57 - 11226 of 23498

Afternoon All...Is it safe to come in?
No spy software, broken washing machines, iffy laptops or dishwasher
problems in here today?
Didn't we have a day of it yesterday!!! (lol)

Choccie - BTW I have found system restore on XP does work fine - as long
as you have kept the back-up system relatively up to date.

Sun's come out now - will sit and have a cup of tea and a round of
tuna and cucumber sarnies out on the cafe roof I think - give me a
shout anyone who comes in if I don't see you!

amberjane - 10 Aug 2004 13:26 - 11227 of 23498

Watching the postings of our charts with interest. Didnt want to post whilst you're in the middle of doing it but dont they look exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stockbunny - 10 Aug 2004 13:38 - 11228 of 23498

Should all be up now...hopefully (lol)

optomistic - 10 Aug 2004 13:40 - 11229 of 23498

Afternoon All.
Printer now refuses to work 'unknown error' its says. Any solutions?

stockbunny - 10 Aug 2004 13:45 - 11230 of 23498

Aside of the usual - check the cables are plugged in right, pull the plug
out of the wall and turn on again - I'm afraid the Bunny is good on
sympathy (and tea LOL) but not so good on constructive techno advise.
Sorry Opto...

optomistic - 10 Aug 2004 13:49 - 11231 of 23498

Done all that Bunny, even uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Little concerned it could be the 'non standard' inks. Heard a rumour that the printer could act this way if you dob't use 'their' inks, had the printer about 4 years though with no previous problems, done lots of printing!!

stockbunny - 10 Aug 2004 13:54 - 11232 of 23498

My printer is an HP and although HP's cartridges are the best, there have
been a couple of occasions when lack of funds has meant buying WHSmiths own,
but it still ran OK, no probs - except it ran out faster and proved a false
economy! Here - have a cup of tea.....
Do you have access to the traders room? Only there's a PC thread on there..

optomistic - 10 Aug 2004 14:09 - 11233 of 23498

No access there Bunny, I think we had a thread over hear for problems. They probably closed it down due to exhaustion of the posters! I have used other cartridges from the first replacement, they can be bought very cheaply up here, from computer fairs. It has more than likely just packed in, will only add to the days woes, car gone in for that handbrake problem this AM, 4 hours so far I think I would like that cup of tea :0 )
Phone call got to go for my car.

stockbunny - 10 Aug 2004 14:26 - 11234 of 23498

I hope the car is fine when you collect it Opto - what a week
in here for break-downs and problems with all things technical
or mechanical...and it's only Tuesday!!

GD's kitchen equipment here is so old, I just hope none of that starts
to malfunction or the whole place could be up in smoke! Bring a new
meaning to a chargrilled bunny steak (lol)

I'm hopping off myself for a while - back to computer sharing again

Fundamentalist - 10 Aug 2004 15:43 - 11235 of 23498

Looks like your going to be seeing less of me for the rest of the week! Toshiba had the laptop for the whole week, it came back yesterday and took a grand total of 20 minutes for the keyboard to freeze again!!! (they claim to have tested for 24 hrs lol). Its now got to go back to their head office to see if they will give me a refund and yet again i am left scrounging pc use off the neighbours (as well as sitting around for 5 hours waiting for the courier). Seems like my neighbours pc is broke too - it doesnt appear to have blue only red and green !!!!!

I know its earl but i need a guinness!!!

jj50 - 10 Aug 2004 15:45 - 11236 of 23498

W H Smith colour cartridges printed everything pink on my HP. Finally sent one back (had bought multiple offer, big mistake) and they reimbursed very graciously.

stockbunny - 10 Aug 2004 15:55 - 11237 of 23498

Colour ones are awful - mine's an HP and the colour quality was cr*p.
The black ones are OK so I buy those - do my bit for re-cycling etc,
but on colour it's easier to pay the extra and buy HP - at least the blue
and green are not interchangeable with theirs!!
How's today JJ? My portfolio is looking very nicely BLUE :>)

stockbunny - 10 Aug 2004 15:57 - 11238 of 23498

Oh Fundy!! Sorry - meant to say, is there an internet cafe near for you?
Sorry you are having such a pain of a time with your laptop....One large Guinness coming up just for you....
