WOODIE - 23 Aug 2005 11:48 - 117 of 1525

NICE to see a rise today after the strong s/price over the last week,at the moment the s/price is overvalued.the last 6 months accounting period ended at end of july these results will be issued in dec, they will show a slight profit having said that the outlook over 2 years out is the reason why i still will not sell even though iam sitting on a nice paper profit at the moment.

FINAL NICE DETERMINATION RECOMMENDS BEATING THE BLUES

In its Final Appraisal Determination published today, the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has concluded that Beating the Blues, the flagship product of interactive healthcare specialists Ultrasis,
is the only Computerised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CCBT) program to be recommended for the treatment of mild to moderate depression within the NHS.

Tasked by the Department of Health and the National Assembly for Wales, NICE has conducted an appraisal of CCBT in order to provide recommendations regarding its suitability for the treatment of depression as part of the mainstream NHS provision. Following a thorough consultation during which the effectiveness of three CCBT packages were examined, the Institute has now published its final findings.

In line with the previously published preliminary Appraisal Consultation Documents, Beating the Blues has been singled out as the only evidence-based program recommended for use in the stepped care management of depression in primary and secondary care. The Final Appraisal Determination strongly recommends that all patients with mild and moderate depression are offered Beating the Blues through the NHS. The other two CCBT products for depression that were assessed can only be used in the context of clinical trials designed to generate data on their clinical effectiveness.

Mental health issues such as anxiety and depression has become increasingly common over the last decade causing considerable strain on the NHS, commented Dr Charlie Martin, Ultrasis healthcare and biotechnology expert. With the continuous scares about the safety of antidepressants, the need for a non invasive depression treatment offered on the NHS has never been greater.

Ultrasis CEO, Graham Lewis, said; We are delighted that the final recommendation from NICE has reaffirmed the Institutes previous assessments about the effectiveness and suitability of Beating the Blues. This is a major development which is set to open up unprecedented opportunities for Ultrasis within the NHS, once the recommendation is formally made to the Department of Health and the National Assembly for Wales.

With the Final Appraisal Determination now published, due process gives the manufacturers of all packages and other relevant organisations included in the consultation the right to appeal against the judgments of the Institute. Any such appeals will be considered in November this year and guidance made to the NHS becomes official thereafter.

The Final Appraisal Determination can be obtained through the NICE web site www.nice.org.uk

From UK-Analyst.com 23.8.05 ULT holders will find the following very interesting :

Ultrasis shareholders were skipping with joy, as shares in the company soared 0.25p to 2.175p. The company that distributes sunshine software at the taxpayers expense issued a statement saying it saw no reason for the share price move. The company said that there was no new news and it did not see any reason for gains, but pointed to a recent announcement of a final draft recommendation by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence on August 17th, which the group said it believed may be helpful to the marketing of its Beating the Blues software. But top TV chartist Zak Mir said that technically, the bullish move made some sense. Commenting on today's intraday spike from 1p to 3p he said that any dips below 2p could be regarded as good technical points to go long of this stock and that it looked as though it was preparing to rise in a quite exponential fashion. He said it suggested that 3p was the minimum upside, but given the way that the nearest stop loss indicator was an end of day close below the 10-day moving average, percentage wise any stop loss was wider than the Atlantic. The fact that the RSI at 85 is also very overcooked indeed would also suggest that waiting for a dips to improve the risk/reward was a good idea.

pension juging by todays action it will not see under 2p

just found this news piece, SMALL-CAPS: NICE GIVES ULTRASIS LITTLE CAUSE FOR ANXIETY
By Robert Orr
Published: August 24 2005 03:00 am

"Ultrasis, which has developed computer-based technology to treat depression and anxiety, was a talking point with more than 200m shares traded, 10 times the daily average and more than any other UK stock.

There were rumours that the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (Nice) was close to recommending the technology. Other buyers said Ultrasis's non-drug treatment could benefit from the news linking GlaxoSmithKline's depression drug Paxil with a higher risk of suicide. Ultrasis rose 13 per cent to 2.17p".

WOODIE - 24 Aug 2005 12:46 - 130 of 1525

what people have to decide is how long they want to be commited to the stock,as the longer you are prepered to wait the greater % rise looks on the cards once the green light from nice is given this will open up markets aboard.

Quickpix - 24 Aug 2005 12:49 - 131 of 1525

I think they will have to retrace the price a bit so it does n't get ahead of its self
No share goes straight up. Might get back in if it does.
I admitt i have sold 80% of my hold, but i could n't cope with the risk (Also took my first 250% profit) I kept some for a free ride for the kids though!
Good luck all

WOODIE - 24 Aug 2005 13:55 - 134 of 1525

in my opion the worst thing to do at the moment is to sell all of ones holding what no one knows is when the next piece of positive news will be released if it is soon these prices wont be here for long if a few months time then it will drift down everyone to there own trading decisions.

Quickpix - 24 Aug 2005 22:35 - 135 of 1525
