ii,
In that case you are a complete tosspot (IMO DYOR). You can claim that it is "your interpretation" of an RNS and "Your opinion". yet you allow no-one else that defence. They are lying morons of the worst kind. Is this one of those irregular verbs. You know the ones. I have an independant mind, They are eccentric, you are completely round the twist. Sticking IMO at the end of any trashy piece of tosh is not a defence I would expect from anyone whose IQ was beyond the need for decimal places.
Can you please, and I know this asking alot, keep a balanced view on this share. The regular posters (Boz, EWR, Andy, Bazza et al) manage to raise concerns where and when necessary, and delight in progress when that occurs. The thread is stringer and better for it. There should be, and is, no place on here for out and out rampers, and boo boys.
Any serious comment, good or bad, is welcome as we all need occasionally to pause for thought and wonder, what if? I welcome input showing the potential downside and believe I am a better investor for a curb on my natural enthusiasm, but twisted facts from someone who has either a different agenda or a serious mental health problem are not welcome. Either get with the programme (God I hated using that) and give balanced views and questioning, or go, and don't come back to a share you claim you have no pecuniary interest in.

Stanelco PLC (LSE:SEO) will unveil new products from the
Starpol range of biodegradable, compostable plastic materials at
Packaging Strategies' inaugural Sustainable Packaging Forum in
Philadelphia October 17-19, 2005.
Should be a very interesting week ahead.
Price way above 20p, within fourteen days, is my personal guess.
But please do your own research. That means reading the company's RNSs, Annual and Interim Reports. Don't be put off by weirdos like ii. What a sad, sad loser that guy is.

What I find extremely irritating, is the tendency from some people on this thread to
keep offering their sometimes ill-thought-out opinions on PM1. You earlier referred to those who wanted him reinstated as needing to grow a brain. Well, I have a brain thanks very much, and I dare say it's no less capable than yours. I want PM1 reinstated because I think this thread is all the poorer without him. His research I found valuable, and his opinions I found interesting.
Whilst the pace of his postings was sometimes overwhelming, I was able to quickly and without any drama, skip those I didn't want to read.
You also intimated that now us followers were not not being spoonfed research, we would could do our own. Presumably we are going to see an increase in research posted by your goodself?
The concept of ramping/deramping is also completely misunderstood by some on this thread. Saying that one believes the share price could be 20 in x years based on x conversions at x royalty is NOT ramping. It is SPECULTION. It is speculating that x machines will be converted in that timeframe, that the p/e ratio will be x (Evolution assumed 24 ), and that the royalty will accord with broker estimates
(35k)
Conversely, the offering of a negative opinion, is also only speculation, and does not constitute deramping.
True ramping/deramping might be difficult to define, but it is normally quite obvious when you see it. It involves making claims of fact that are unverifyable, with the intent of influencing the share price. This might include a statement to the effect that ASDA are pulling out of the Greenseal deal. Or that friends in the know have told you that the RF conversion kits are a radiation hazard to the machine operators, and that Greenseal is therefore dead in the water.
It can also involve the posting of information that is clearly untrue. This will not matter to a deramper, because his/her goal will be to engage as many people as possible into a pointless discussion about the negative, whilst preventing you from discussing the positive. Sham and ii are experts at this. And there isn't a great deal that can be done about it. It should be the job of the adminstrators to stamp on this kind of thing, but they are often ineffectual, and rarely know as much about the company as you do, and are therefore unable to sperate fact from fiction. However, even if you knew nothing about Stanelco, the antics of Sham and ii are blindingly obvious, and their continued presence on here is a sad indictment.
So PM1 is not a ramper. He has made the odd mistake that he has not retracted. But I think that owes more to the vitriolic way these matters were brought to his attention. The vast majority of what PM1 posts can in no way be described as ramping, and to try and make out that he is somehow the flip-side of blatant derampers like Sham and ii is simply ludicrous.
By the way, Sham and ii are not the usual dreampers. They are not, in my opinion, trying to lower the shareprice for profit. They are here simply because they are Bioprogress shareholders, and they hate Stanelco.

ii,
In that case you are a complete tosspot (IMO DYOR).
Can someone explain to me why a perfectly normal ,and I have no doubt respectable, poster as ii , can be subjected to rants from a dozen other posters, which would gain them a bloody nose in `real life`.
Ah, he has mentioned the word "short" has he, that explains it, again can someone explain why shorting is condemned by the less aware on every bb in the UK?
Do they really think (the longs) that it is some scheme to take their money away?
I would suggest a visit by them to the excellent MAM (free) investment days, when their ignorance will be countered
ps I believe that Bullie can go short when aroused!

I think I have found one of the Starpol 2000 products that will be announced next week !!
Looks like another good product for Stanelco ....

Date Lodged:

EMCO Packaging Systems are specialists in Active & Intelligent Packaging, Oxygen Absorbing Technology and the supply of Diagnostic Equipment including Gas Analysis and Leak Detection Equipment.

ATCO Oxygen absorbers / Scavengers
EMCO supply the only European manufactured Oxygen Absorbers (scavengers) which are available as a complement or as an alternative to MAP techniques. The ATCO oxygen absorber comes in the form of a sachet, self adhesive label or rigid thermoformed "Oxycap". (see below)
Once a product has been sealed with the O2 absorber inside, the absorption process takes several hours to complete. At the end of this period, the level of oxygen within the packaging has been reduced from the 20.9% normally present in air to less than 0.01%. The absorber continues to work both on the oxygen present within the food itself and on any which permeates through the packaging until the food is used. As well as preventing bacterial growth the O2 absorber eliminates the oxidation which can adversely affect the flavour, odour, and colour of a product.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From my research of the last few years ....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAP currently has the monopoly on shelf life extension technology in this area and this is set to continue. It is generally thought that active packaging technologies will be used in conjunction with MAP rather than as an alternative to established barrier technologies. In MAP applications oxygen scavengers are able to gobble up oxygen that can build up over time. Pira notes that it is unlikely that new players will emerge offering combined MAP/oxygen scavenger systems, rather that converters will continue to develop ties with active packaging technology suppliers
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A recent report, 'The future of Active Packaging' {available from Pira International, priced 2500, tel: +44 (0)1372 802271}, goes some way towards shedding light on the direction that the technology may take.
Based on its own industry surveys, Pira valued the 2001 market for active packaging technologies in Japan, the US and Europe at $1.18bn. Japan, unsurprisingly, has the lion's share of the market, with the US and Europe gathering pace.
Pira predicts that the active packaging market as a whole will grow by 14% per year between 2001-2004, reaching $1.73bn by 2004. Growth is then expected to accelerate to reach $2.6bn by 2007, spurred on by continuing acceptance of oxygen scavengers and anti-bacterial films . Preservative releasers are set to represent the fastest growing area of the market beyond 2004, as the use of antioxidants to prevent microbial activity is accepted into legislation.
Of all active packaging technologies, oxygen scavengers appear to hold the greatest promise at present. Across active packaging technology areas the market for oxygen scavengers is forecast to grow by over 20% per year between 2002 and 2005, with volumes rising from around 14bn units world-wide to nearly 25bn units. Similar growth rates are anticipated for moisture absorbers, while adoption of less developed technologies will lag behind in the short to medium term.
The advancement of the UK chilled cabinet makes this a key area of growth opportunity for active packaging suppliers. The UK accounts for 75% of sales in oxygen scavengers, boosted by the popularity of premium, deli-style meats that are expensive enough to justify the added cost. Here, the scavengers prevent discolouration and degradation of meats such as salami, which is sensitive to oxygen.
With the Western European ready meals market now accounting for 9% of all chilled foods sales, this too is an application area that holds plenty of potential for oxygen scavengers. According to Pira, usage of active packaging in ready meals is forecast to grow by 31.5% between 2001-2004.

Mr PM,
ii has never said he was a shorter. He has said that he has no financial interest in the share at all. I have no problem with shorters, you pay your money and take your choice. I do have a problem with outrageous lies, however. ii has baltently told untruths on the boards, expressing them as factual, and hoping that he can cover his sorry ass by putting IMO at the end.
This will not wash when he states that Starpol HAS failed FDA tests. In the fullness of time, it may do exactly that, but that is not what he said, meant or implied.
I do not care whether he believes it to be the worst investment since the south sea bubble, or the best since Microsoft first listed. what I care about is the quality of this board and it is not served by lying. It is only served by genuine people offering genuine and reasoned arguments both for and against the share, making other investers research better and more thoroughly, and make a more informed choice on what to do with their money.

All I ever saw PM do was Google around and cut and paste the results.Anyone doing serious research wouldn`t post it anyway, its an ego trip he is harmless, just an obsessive.
Some say he was paid by SEO, well Oblomov did, perhaps he was right,or perhaps that was jealousy, Oblomov is pretty creepy anyway, fear of libel probably stopped him going further with the accusation.

Nah, "lying"??
All bb`s are based on " being liberal with the truth", its all guestimation, if you post " this is going up" its a lie, you don`t know. ditto in reverse.
Only the site owners make on bb`s, (well they and the advertisers) directly from them .

This is the first thread on the first BB I ever "joined". It was a great thread - Bosley, Eric, Baza, Driver, ptholden - lots of others with modest ego, a keen interest in the share (SEO in case you've forgotten!), a delight in good analysis and a sharp sense of humour. Can all the moralists leave now please. Since PM and qc were banned this thread has become intolerable - worse than when Paul's obessive compulsive disorder was allowed full reign (or is that rein?). I've long ago squelched ii and Shamona and only see their inanity reflected in misguided responders to their taunts (we did have an understanding amongst the brethren at one time never to respond to them - whenever sustained absolutely, they always used to fade from view pretty quickly.)
Why don't we try a new game - you're only allowed to post if you bring one interesting thought or fact about SEO to the table. That's a pretty wide brief, so not at all intended to be exclusive. But I can't wade through all this he-said, she-said crap evey day any longer.
It's a bit like a stop-loss. We all know we should sell, but we fall in love with the share. I know I should just quit this thread, but I like the mates I have met on it.
love you all (you know who you are!)

Well, almost two days of mostly irrelevant posts preparing for pantomine season.
Poster "x" is a twat, oh yes he is, oh no he isn't. Grow up folks.
Brandname, whilst it would be excellent news if Northern Foods were adopting Greenseal and Starpol as a package please don't assume that the new packaging is this, there are several developments taking place for ready meals.
I still can't see a major Walmart deal without full FDA approval, I suspect the Conference will be about detailing future projects and intentions but it is a good place for SEO to put their products into the public eye alongside Natureworks.
For Starpol to be successful as a sustainable packaging alternative in USA, SEO need Walmart to spend money converting machines and changing packaging concepts otherwise success is out of their hands here unless legislation is passed and I can't see Bush doing that, he doesn't give a flying one about the rest of the world as long as his own country is OK (well most of it). MAYBE we all write to him and tell him it will conserve US oil stocks and they could also grow the crop in the US as well. What a policy, reduce the oil price due to high stocks, in turn reducing inflation and interest rates and at the same time employ loads more farmers.

Quite agree with you Mr Stockdog.
A nice piece on tv today arguing the merits and demerits of banning plastic bags at the checkout, much the way they have done in Ireland.
Interestingly, the removal of liberal numbers of plastic bags in Ireland was accepted by the majority quite painlessly. Would seem they are a true "green" country after all.
There is still the opportunity to offer the biodegradeable alternative from SEO.
we have a fantastic momentum building in green packaging. We are not yet there but green will become the norm across a broad range of consumables. It was this that brought me into SEO at 4p many moons ago.
A no-brainer eventually , just the timescales which I cannot be too sure of.
This weeks fall back in price provided a nice opportunity to top up.
Not worried

Whilst I do not wish to become involved in the present bout of trashy posts I have to put the record straight on this one. I have never said PM1 or anyone for that matter was paid by SEO , so I dont know where you got that one from. Well, actually I may do because some time ago when I first looked at this BB and being rather 'green' to the way these BB's worked, I sent a private message to Sequestor and asked him if PM1 was paid by SEO because of PM1's ramping of the share.
I assume you are Sequestor in a new guise and have made the 'creepy' gibe because I 'helped' to get you banned on FYB where you had all but destroyed the SEO thread.

You may be right but based on recent RNS which included ASDA confirming they were on course to have 200 machines from their supply base converted to "Greenseal", and Northern Foods being one of their main suppliers I'd bet quite a few quid that Northern Foods are adopting the technology. If I remember rightly (stand corrected if I am wrong) but "ready meals" was one of the tests that ASDA carried out earlier in the year with SEO.
