How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Hmm, Seems everybody is lumping on Arsenal anyhow. Thanks to the price move, I am all green even before the kick off!

I should add also (though it is obvious now the match is underway) that if the score is 0-0, the price on Arsenal will drift and that of Sheff Utd will come in. The crossover point for the price on Sheff Utd is around 50 mins. So if Sheff Utd hold Arsenal their price will continue to come in till that point and then drift out as the draw gets more ever more likely.

This game is looking better and better for me!
Layed off before kick off and looking to green up or even better during second half. Sheff U should at least be 1 up by now!!

It's been a good match, Full of incident. But it seems that the way to beat Arsenal is to kick the players off the park. Not sure if thats in the spirit of things.
Wasted a little bit of money towards the end but a good result on the match.

Got to the match with 7 mins left. Backed the draw at this point and greened up after the penalty. Pure luck but best payout to date.

Nicely done Cunningham.
Scrip, are you on the races today? I always find Saturdays difficult.

Thanks Harlosh
Just as well I greened up as the game got quite interesting towards the end. I hope those backing Arsenal greened up when they scored.
Yet again a goal is scored during the dying moments!! I noticed that with less than 5mins to end the odds on Arsenal to win were still quite generous at 1.10/1.11. Probably due to 10 men Ars. A lot of money still being matched at that point. Some burnt fingers around but hopefully none on this thread.

I tend not to do Saturdays. I am around this afternoon though testing some software. No real opinions on todays racing yet but maybe there is more "random" money over the weekend?

For Everton v ManU game later there is good value for backing ManU @ 1.8/1.81.
Odds have shortened considerably since yesterday 1.97/1.98.
Everton strikers, Beattie and Cahill are both suspended. Other strikers McFadden and Ferguson both carrying slight injuries although in squad.
Rooney set to play from start.
Set to be a potentially explosive game.

Thank you very much to Ronnie O'Sulivan for some easy money tonight. Now if VillaReal can get an equaliser it would top a good evening.

A good weekend of activity. In light of the results in the FA CUP overall, I am not too dissapointed now that Southampton didn't win. It seems like is was a weekend full of surprises.
I was speaking to the these guys last week
"Betting bots". I will have hold of the software soon and will be beta testing and writing a review for them. I will post here first with details of how I get on with the software and what I think.
