Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

I suspect the Americans are paying to keep him here. He is no good over there. Narcissistic sod. 8 years of jolly time.
That lot for his "town hall" was chosen by the American Embassy. I wonder who in the embassy. Looked more like the casting for Star Wars than the average UK audience outside of Waltham Forest.

What gets me really , there he is obama the man who gave Billions of dollars and military hardware to Iraq and didn't listen to his advisers . ISIS end up with the military hardware and Maliki is in Iran with many millions of Iraq's money , and they allow him to go around preaching .

quite possibly, but confess i've rather lost interest
i've decided which way i shall vote and know what result i'ld like to see
however, as it stands, it looks that the "out" camp has lost much traction and that there'll be a pretty significant margin to stay put .......
that would mean that the eu will see little or no meaningful internal reform, but will just continue to become more and more federalised with uk being slowly ingested into that morass
bad news

I don't think the OUT camp has lost traction ,in fact i think the last few day has given it more traction especially with May dithering as well. I think it is all still to play for .
Plus your right if we stay in we are doomed ,the end of the UK as we knew it.

Almost 2 months to go. A lot can happen in that time. It is said that a week is a long time in politics.
While the stayers are condescendling urging the young (and ignorant) to advise their older (and wiser) relatives to vote remain, you can be sure that come the day the old and wise will be heading to the polling booths while the young and ignorant will be heading to Glastonbury.

Yes with 2 months to go it's going to get weary , but the stayers seem to be putting more effort in , or should that be propaganda . I wonder who they will draft in next will they go down the celebrity route , you know what that lot are like must be seen to be politically correct for their image .

and fred?
oh, i'm sure he'll just have his arse glued to his comfy chair as usual
very simplistically, i'ld like to remain within eu BUT ONLY IF there is root and branch reform
this just will not happen without substantial groundswell from the voting public across many of the current member states
however, and as i have stated before, i'm hoping for a very close vote
this i hope will then provoke the impetus required to shake the eu hierarchy out of its smug attitude that it can slowly trundle towards federalism with complete disregard to the wishes of at least very significant minority and perhaps even the majority of the people across all member states

As for the out campaign I would target the younger University types with a sort of , we need you for Britains future , with new frontiers to cross and markets to capture . As opposed to a stodgy over regulated under achieving undemocratic mess .

Nothing will "shake the eu hierarchy out of its smug attitude" except a P45.

Or maybe referendum's in Austria / Sweden /Holland etc , if we should vote out i believe the EU will fall. I sincerely hope so.
