Blinger, re: your soggy end. I would suggest you cut down on the wacky backy! The biodegrading property of the proposed material does not imply that it will get any soggier than the current filter material, only that it will biodegrade as early as 60 days....might be a bit soggy then!

A thought......SEO sell the 2 patents associated with the cigarette filters for say 100m, well who would supply the raw materials?

Well now, there are a few brain-cells left amomg the boot-fillers bb, precisely the point -well spotted,
yep the 100m product again, but , erm SEO aren`t interested in making it, the patent is for sale, but the license to produce is owned by---- ?????

Tried earlier to put an overlay of the SEO and SPO 12 month charts on the board, but I am technically illiterate, so all I got was a red cross.
The point is, one looks like a section of the himalayas, and the other is flatlined. Couldn't think of a single reason why any investor or trader would prefer the flatliner. Its worth a look, just for the amusement factor.

I find that the best approach is to ignore people like blinger and ii - if you dont feed them - they eventually give up and go away.
Please for all our sakes - do not rise to these guys - they simply thrive on baiting you.
Just ignore - or better still - squelch them

Stanelco PLC Appoints Rothschild for Sale of Stanelco's Filter Technology
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 2005--Stanelco PLC (LSE:SEO) and SP Metal are pleased to announce the appointment of Rothschild to conduct the sale of the biodegradable starch-based cigarette filter technology acquired through their joint venture Biotec Holdings GmbH ("Biotec").
This follows an announcement made by the Company on 3rd October 2005 regarding the planned disposal of two non-core Biotec patents for biodegradable starch-based cigarette filters. The technology covered by these patents is not considered to be core to Stanelco's business.
Howard White, Managing Director of Stanelco, commented, "We are delighted to have appointed Rothschild for the sales process. While we acknowledge that this is likely to be an extended process, we believe that ultimately the associated patents will yield substantial value to our shareholders.
"We are delighted that Rothschild are involved in this project. In light of the recent announcement by BAT in regards to having created a "safer cigarette," Stanelco is in the perfect position with our biodegradable materials to lead the charge into the future of the industry. Our range of materials is ecologically friendly and less expensive than the material being utilized now."
"Our product has all the advantages the cigarette industry is looking for including being ecologically friendly and less expensive than currently used celluloid filters," said Stephanie Morgan-Fisher, director and CEO of North American Operations, Stanelco, Inc. "Stanelco endeavors to use our technology to benefit consumers and corporations looking for ecologically friendly solutions."

A snippet from another board - summarising an extract from RHPS I believe
"Re the sale of the filter technology:
......This is likely to take the form of selling an option over the patent prior to the product returning to the lab for commercial development. Stanelco holds the global patents to the starch material used for the filter........"
Makes good sense to me
