When's your next Beer Fest then?

>.. Has 55 emigrated?
Doubt it. Don't think his rail pass was valid on Eurostar. Probably stuck on a rail replacement bus down some country lane ....

The CAMRA Nantwich Beer Festival opens at 5pm at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday 25 September.....

http://www.nantwichfoodfestival.co.uk/beerfestival.htm

There will be around 70 beers and ciders available. As in previous years, all the Cheshire breweries will be represented and there will also be beers from the surrounding areas

Stan - 25 Sep 2009 18:50 - 1297 of 1427

Afraid not, bit to much on at the moment, always some reason or another why I seem to miss Nantwich. Real shame as it's a "Food" Fest. as well.,, oh well one day.

PS.

Look for a table with three elderly gentlemen with bowler hats and one smartly dressed fellow in a white coat which he nicked before leaving the "home".

Fred1new - 02 Dec 2009 16:07 - 1302 of 1427

For those who don't recognise the Pub or its name:-

Balerboy - 02 Dec 2009 16:51 - 1303 of 1427

Fred you got a sofa.....cause i'd be pissed on half real ale, can't drive back down bristol way like that..lol

Fred1new - 02 Dec 2009 20:20 - 1304 of 1427

Baler,

I am sorry, I am sleeping on the sofa. Said something wrong to my wife.
I was asked a difficult question, which I didn't understand, and said "yes" when the requested response should have been "no".

I don't think you are serious about coming, but in case I misread you and you don't know Birmingham, consider train.

The train station is central and is within easy walking distance of the pub. The latter is central.

Balerboy - 02 Dec 2009 20:38 - 1305 of 1427

Thank you fred, but your right, can't make it this time. You should have taken the 5th amendment.... and kept her guessing. BB

>Fot the interested few

too few too mention ....

.... perhaps everyone else has lost their shirt or their lifetime rail pass?

.... we can be recognised in the bar by the crutches, white stick and Borders Bookshop bag ....

Stan - 05 Dec 2009 11:10 - 1307 of 1427

Good to meet up again, trust everyone got home in one piece.

55011 - 05 Dec 2009 18:37 - 1308 of 1427

S87, re 1298.

As a brewer, I would be interested to know what they put in the mash to achieve this. Or maybe I don't want to know. On the other hand the high figure might be obtained by ********** which could be distinctly *******.

Curious though, nevertheless.

survived87 - 05 Dec 2009 19:39 - 1309 of 1427

.... next time we'll have to appoint a Chairman to keep us on track and ensure that we actually get round to financial matters .... hope no one ended up sleeping on the sofa .... the Greene King IPA was nice and smooth - first time I'd tried it - woke up next morning feeling normal ... see EXPN closed > 600 ....

.... meanwhile, back to eyes...
now a new technique has come on the market which promises not only to restore our sight but also to make it better than before and get us seeing in high definition.
