ZOO - on the up again? (ZOO)

LINZIMASON - 29 Jul 2003 15:30

What's happening here - the volume has increased massively today. Am I missing something in the air - anybody got any news?

spencer1 - 22 Nov 2003 22:30 - 131 of 170

Nice article in 'The Eye' magazine with todays Times, highlighting what they describe as 'a new breed of family games' Here are a few quotes for anyone that might have missed it...

-----------------------
Later this month, Universal releases 'who wants to be a millionaire' and 'interactive championship challenge', the launch titles in the worlds first range of DVD games

"We realised that a couple of years ago that DVD was establishing itself as the fastest growing consumer platform" explains Andy Scrivener of Zoo Digital, Which Developed DVD Extra. "By 2006, hardware penetration is projected to be 75% in North America and Western Europe; those are mouth watering numbers for people like us. But, although many households were purchasing DVD players, they weren't being used for any kind of interactive entertainment"

The DVD Extra format is limited to titles that involve players making a choice. But Scrivener still identifies a host of future directions, from pre-school learning aids and language courses to simulated driving theory tests. On the entertainment side, the likeliest bets lok to be traditional board games and Dungeons and Dragons style adventures.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether DVD Extra has legs. But surely anything that might liven up the in-laws this Christmas is worth a go!
-------------------------

I'm sure this isn't news to any of you, but any publicity is good publicity!!

i facer - 20 Jan 2004 12:24 - 140 of 170

is todays move up the consequence of another tip or is the company actually getting stronger ?

akel44 - 20 Jan 2004 12:27 - 141 of 170

if it has the legs the potential is huge "bigtime"

javidshaik - 20 Jan 2004 12:27 - 142 of 170

dont know what the news is but something is brewing.
this stock has been quiet for a while now but the long term moving averages have always been in favour of zoo. i will guess short term moving average will change tonight making this share exciting to the big boys.
if you arent already in this stock then i suggest you do so quickly. spread is a little while on zoo but it can move up quickly!

goldfinger - 20 Jan 2004 12:31 - 143 of 170

i facer - 20 Jan 2004 13:17 - 144 of 170

a friend of mine runs a dvd company says that there is a similar release to who wants to be a millionaire, of the weakest link due shortly

bingobingham - 20 Jan 2004 16:44 - 145 of 170

If that's correct, I would imagine the Weakest Link to be a huge seller! Get on board now!

A statement this afternoon at 16.01 said that AIM VT PLC are interetsed in circa 11m shares....this one could now be on the road north at last

Good luck to all of those in the ZOO

goldfinger - 20 Jan 2004 17:40 - 147 of 170

AH, now we have something. Released at just after 4pm......................
Zoo Digital Group PLC
20 January 2004

ZOO Digital Group Plc ('the Company')

Notifiable Interest and Director Shareholding

On 16 January 2004 the Company received formal notification in accordance with
part IV of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended) that, following completion of the
recent placing at the issue price of 10.5p per share, as announced on 12
December 2003, Artemis AIM VCT plc are interested in 10,950,000 ordinary shares
in the Company representing 3.92% of the current issued share capital of the
Company.

For clarification purposes, the Company also announces that, following the
placing, Ian Stewart, Chief Executive Officer holds 59,323,155 shares in the
Company representing 21.26% of the current issued share capital.

The ordinary shares referred to above are ordinary shares of 0.2p per share.

For further information please contact:

Robert Deri, Finance Director, Zoo Digital Group plc 0114 241 3700

END

So here we have an institutional buyer taking the placing up at 10.5p per share and more importantly the CEO ups his stake at 10.5p. Nothing mentioned during the day about this. Wonder if this was a leak??????.

Will not sell now and will play it as I see it developing in the morning. Would only top slice anyway.

cheers GF.

piston broke - 20 Jan 2004 17:47 - 148 of 170

Do they have annual figures out soon or even a Christmas trading update....dont forget that everyone has been saying DVD sales have been exceptional over Christmas and hence ZOO's games for DVD's must logically also sell well.

goldfinger - 20 Jan 2004 17:59 - 149 of 170

Ammendment to my post above. CEO Stewart actually gave word he would subscribe to 7 million plus shares in november when the placing was announced. So his buy is not based on xmas trading my appologies.

cheers GF.

goldfinger - 20 Jan 2004 18:06 - 150 of 170

PB, last xmas they gave a trading update on the 20/12/2002. Nothing after.

I have lifted this from ShareCrazy............

I dont think wwtbm did too badly.
It did get into the BBC top 40 dvd chart(number 32 its highest position?) and it was in the top 20 Blockbuster charts recently.

This ones a real volatile devil, be careful.

cheers GF.
