Hello - just passing. My shareholding still intact, but looking a bit sick at the moment.

We could all do with some good news to give this stock a boost into the new year.

The new promotions at SEO seem to be a step in the right direction for the future - but what we need now are orders, my pension is riding on this.

ORLANDO, Fla.Stanelco PLC (www.stanelco.co.uk) introduced PulsLine, a tamper-proof, anti-counterfeit food labeling system designed to protect against fraud and product tampering. Developed by Aquasol, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanelco, the new line is currently available in the United States and United Kingdom, and has been used in the food, information technology, airline, pharmaceutical and automotive industries.

Utilizing a security thread similar to the system used in bank notes, PulsLine provides visual and electronic evidence of tampering, increasing the safety and integrity of a product, and is the first labeling system of its kind to use a unique patented multi-layer laminate construction, according to the company. The security thread can be micro-printed with a company name or logo, which can be revealed by removal of a unique tab pull, and has tactile properties discernible by individuals with visual impairments. The system also incorporates nonreproducible bio-codes, DNA, radio frequency identification tags and holograms.

It took several years of research and testing, but now we are ready to launch PulsLine, said David Edwards, product development director with Aquasol. The development of the PulsLine took years because the adhesive had to be strong. Now, PulsLine is the latest anti-counterfeit, anti-tampering security label available.

Teather and Greenwood downgraded their rating for SEO to hold from buy.
(strange, as I would have thought it would be a better buy at 13p rather than 30p when they still had a buy in place)

It is worrying the speed with which brokers change their stances on companies, how thorough is their initial research?

I am still in - but have to admit to being a atd nervous - even though the fundamentals have not changed for months - but then again - nor have the sales.

We need news of sales before xmas - otherwisw we will get a self fulfilling prophesy here and it will do a BPRG on us

To all those who are still holding. This looks like decision time to me. The question arises whether you think its all gone horribly wrong and its time to dump and move on, or whether this is caused by traders natural reactions to charts and technical sells.
I still believe that things are going well, and this is caused by lack of news and people selling because the charts tell them to. That is fine and that is their trading style. I hope I am right in saying the recent promotion is to capitalise on good trials and heightened interest from retailers, but it is equally possible that the promotion is an attempt by SEO to put it back on course, because the previous encumbant was getting nowhere.
Trying to be balanced here, but my decision is still to go with my instinct and hold, but my instinct is not strong enough to take this as an opportunity to top up. I am not a very large holder and my losses would be very small so perhaps I am in a fortunate position and if my holding were large I would reach a different conclusion, but for better or worse, there it is.

Agree with you. I shall still be watching closely and believe in the company, however I feel my money is better in something like Aminex (AEX) at the moment...just more a question of what else you think is better.

If it had all gone wrong then we would have had to have had an announcement by now full stop.

I have a reasonable sized holding in this - and I agree with biscuit - if this had gone tits up we would have heard by now - either officially - or via a very strong rumour mill.

Apart from the odd rumour about trials not going well , which have so far proved to be unfounded - we do know that they are behind schedule - but this was probably due to poor planning - rather than anything technical.

We will not hear anything tomorrow - bad day for releasing RNS's - so earliest we will hear anything will be next week - but I still favour the scenario that they will release a close statement when they have got some good news to spread.

Some how I doubt Stanelco would have allowed Starpol to be tested by ASDA before they were doubly sure that it was water tight, Martin Wagner would have known exactly what standard ASDA were looking for. You should only have doubts if you haven't done your research properly but in my view if that's the case then you shouldn't be investing in shares anyway. Remember Martin Wagner has worked for ASDA, Terry Robbins for Sainsbury's, these are not fools that the company has employed, they were employed for a reason!

My nightmare scenario though, is that the lack of news causes a steady drift, which in turn causes chart or jittery selling, causing the pace of drift to pick up. If that happens then the best close statement in the world aint gonna help too much. It needs to be sooner rather than later, to smooth ruffled feathers.
