I am back on now

No it was not a system problem as I could trade other shares - the MM's simply withdrew for an hour or so. I spoke to Barclays and they said no system problem - simply MM's withdrew from automayed system - but ok now

Hewittalan6, ( Al ).

Sorry did not see your proper name, will do so in future.

Cheers Dave.

hewittalan6 - 01 Dec 2005 16:19 - 13190 of 27111

Which leads to the question of why?
I can only assume that for that 1 hour the MM's wanted to take total control of the sp. Were they expecting something that didn't happen or was there a strange trade going on.
The post 4.30pm trades may be interesting.
Alan

Unless it was that 400,000 sale that spooked them

greekman - 01 Dec 2005 16:37 - 13192 of 27111

An unusual amount of broker to broker trades today. Any significance???

Biscuit - 01 Dec 2005 17:00 - 13193 of 27111

Could be Greekman, seems alot of activity today, especially towards the end.

chocbic - 01 Dec 2005 17:18 - 13194 of 27111

What sort of significance biscuit?

oblomov - 01 Dec 2005 17:30 - 13195 of 27111

Some large buys today (2 at the bell) - someones confident.

16:26 13.0 300,000 O 12.75 13.0 Buy
09:16 13.28 250,000 O 13.0 13.5 Buy
16:26 13.0 242,366 O 12.75 13.0 Buy

Biscuit - 01 Dec 2005 17:32 - 13196 of 27111

That, I'm afraid I do not know. Probably nothing at ll. All we can do is sit and wait for the RNS's to tell us. Homework and research all done so let's just sit and be patient.

chocbic - 01 Dec 2005 18:08 - 13197 of 27111

Your not worried by the lack of RNS's and the quality of previous ones? I'm basing that on the drift on the SP despite RNS's throughout the summer.

oblomov - 01 Dec 2005 18:32 - 13198 of 27111

TB still confident.

ssanebs - 01 Dec 2005 18:57 - 13199 of 27111

trading update next week, hence the buyers. i tried to buy 500k and only got 200k, so no overhang of stock.

blinger - 01 Dec 2005 19:00 - 13200 of 27111

TB??
The demon tipster?

Well he must know something then

ROTFFLMFAO!!!!!!!!

I see that the Cub-scout mistress is censoring anyone with doubts about making a fortune from this dog,on F*&%$yaboots- well she would, having admitted buying .
The Russian is riding with the horses and the hound, as they do, oh , where has that bloke gone taking bets about > 10p by Xmas?, and there was another one here a while back laughing at the other prediction I made about Dow 12000 by the same date.
A share falling by 50% needs to rise by 100%,simply to tread water- simple maths, frightening if you hold though,

ENJOY!!!!!!!

It is worrying the speed with which brokers change their stances on companies, how thorough is their initial research?

If you invest on the basis of brokers, newspapers and EVOs you deserve what you get.

blinger - 01 Dec 2005 19:05 - 13202 of 27111

ssanebs
you tried to buy at the touch price, you exceeded the NMS, they will sell you a billion if you pay the price.

ps close to 1m sold on Virt-ex-schhhh. its a special market for rollers- Swiss rollers
lolololol!!!!!!!!!

blinger - 01 Dec 2005 19:06 - 13203 of 27111

zscrooge, very apt

Merry Xmas-pah!!!!!!!!!

oblomov - 01 Dec 2005 19:46 - 13204 of 27111

You still blingering? I thought you'd gone!

Most investors would know who TB is. Does RHPS mean anything to you?

blinger - 01 Dec 2005 20:22 - 13205 of 27111

Oh yes Oboe (pink) many chavs subscribe to Red Hot Penny Shares. O great Russian guru- you too apparently?-sad.
Tom b. is a joke, and has been for many years- here is a trick question--

Q Just before a penny share tip-sheet comes out who do you think trades that share-long or short?

1. The tipsheet editor
2.His wife
3.His mother -in-law
4.The van driver
5.Nobody on the magazine/tip-sheet
5.A City Slicker

Think carefully now

ROTFFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!

ps look for patent on RHPS-they WILL sue you for divulging!

blinger - 01 Dec 2005 20:55 - 13206 of 27111

SEO have not even converted 5 machines: 1 order placed with unnamed ASDA supplier, the other for 4 machines with another but only following "final technical sign off on the first machine once it is installed in the production area and has operated satisfactorily for an agreed period of time."
SO only 2 machines converted....Oh my
