stockbunny - 25 Feb 2005 15:11 - 1369 of 24230

;>)

jeffmack - 25 Feb 2005 15:15 - 1370 of 24230

Good afternoon
Been off work sick for two days but back today. feel worse now after 6 pints of guiness in a smokey pub.

optomistic - 25 Feb 2005 15:20 - 1371 of 24230

Now that just serves you right Jeff, you should have had your Guinness here. Garuanteed no hangovers!!

stockbunny - 25 Feb 2005 15:24 - 1372 of 24230

Oh Jeff that made me feel ill just reading it!
Hope you are really feeling better then you did now though.
:>)

jeffmack - 25 Feb 2005 15:26 - 1373 of 24230

no

Socrates - 25 Feb 2005 15:29 - 1374 of 24230

Ah so!

Priscilla - 25 Feb 2005 15:29 - 1375 of 24230

I've never well enough to drink 6 pints of anything, never mind something that looks (and tastes?) like something I could've drained from a car's engine.

optomistic - 25 Feb 2005 15:44 - 1376 of 24230

Oh Priscilla it does taste nice, but it's an acquired taste. Six pints is a bit much though, it's quite heavy stuff!!

stockbunny - 25 Feb 2005 15:50 - 1377 of 24230

Oh well feel better soon Jeffie! :>)
Well the market has bored me enough today, not a great
week for excitement - let's hope next week is better!!
Have a great weekend all.

This_is_me - 25 Feb 2005 16:17 - 1378 of 24230

Mine are bouncing like an Easter Bunny. If you are down less than 1% this week you will have done OK since the FTSE is down over 1%.

I will get my portfolio updated after the markets close and after the end of the month on Monday.

Fundamentalist - 25 Feb 2005 18:12 - 1379 of 24230

Evening all

6 pints of guinness - now thats what i could do with - at least!!! Just been informed by the planners they intend to refuse my planning application. Have managed to persuade them not to do so and to accept a revision but this means more delays and frustration!!!

brockman - 25 Feb 2005 20:48 - 1380 of 24230

Hi Fundi, hope your well?

You could always twin track your applications, appeal on the original and try to negotiate a rivise, if you need any help please e-mail! I would be happy to swop planning for flat pack assembly anytime :o)

Fundamentalist - 25 Feb 2005 21:13 - 1381 of 24230

Brock

thanks for your kind words - having had a little time to cool down it is now clear that the sensible option is just to revise the original application - the reasons for refusal are quite minor - if i actually appeal the decision it will extend the likely timescale too much

planning is a frustrating process that i know too well - the problem this time is that the planner who i having been liasing with recommending approving the plans, hence it came as a surprise when it was declined - the officer declined it in association with the highways dept!!! now as for flatpack - an area of my expertise (i have basic carpentry skills and have put together so many flat packs for friends/relatives the last few years)

still - time for a drink i feel - a nice cold glass of chablis premier cru i feel would be in order - care to join me?
