Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Hello,

While this is being resolved, if you have the option, please turn off streaming as the HTML is correct.

If you have terminal, you can set an auto refresh on the stockwatch page...

Any news about the the floating decimal point problem? It's still happening.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 14 Nov 2003 12:57 - 1367 of 7315

BrianTrayda,

We have had numerous calls between our data provider and our developers, and the fault looks to be with our data provider.

I hope it will be resolved soon!

J.

ps, was that 500 error on the BBs?

BrianTrayda - 14 Nov 2003 13:03 - 1368 of 7315

JT - yes. Felix saw email yesterday and told me what's causing it. Just posted it to show it's still happening, but I expect you know that.

The Stockwatch should now be working.

Sorry for the time it took to fix, but the problem required a lot of investigative work!

I have been finding that the yellow strip has been getting out of sync with the top of the order book. It has shown a higher price than the top of the SELL list quite a few times and on previous days the sum of the top items doesn't come to the total on the yellow strip. It almost looks as though the figures come from different sources. It was ICI today. I hope that is clear.

Did my post about the 56 copies of the trading statement on 13/11/03 7:00am on the quote page for SOF get noted.

I have found this problem very often on many stocks. I am reposting the problem as I posted it just before the crazy stockwatch problem today and I thought it might have been missed.

Site spot on this am in both speed and efficiency well done

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 17 Nov 2003 08:37 - 1373 of 7315

PW Carnell,

thank you :)

Our load has increased massively over the last few months which is why things have unfortunately been felt in terms of system responsivness, ive setup a few more servers which will be going in place either this morning or tomorrow morning which should deal with anticipated future load.

Are there 2 of you JT? - exactly the same message, but 17 mins apart.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 17 Nov 2003 09:45 - 1376 of 7315

BrianTrayda,

Yes, there are two of me, do you think I could watch the site 24/7 just by myself? :)

BrianTrayda - 17 Nov 2003 09:50 - 1377 of 7315

:-) Thought Bully helped you during the night shift...

DocProc - 17 Nov 2003 12:57 - 1378 of 7315

TJ(MAM)

One of you is 17 mins out of sync. Does one of you live in a parallel universe? Have you got you on a string?

I'm up with and into the latest stuff on this all thanks to 'The Theory of Everything' on Sunday night's TV. ;-)

BrianTrayda,

:(

all: You may have noticed the 'link' box below the 'post reply' box. idea is simple, put either the URL to an image (which is already online), or the url to a webpage, and then click the appropriate button and the correct HTML will be inserted into the post box.
