Provexis Buy at 3.25p - Target 8p (PXS)

peeyam - 08 May 2007 11:30

LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.

Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.

In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.

Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels

As usual, pls do ur own research.

Good start this morning

cynic - 17 Aug 2009 12:23 - 140 of 1204

you may (all) be on to a cracker here, but be aware that it is a tiny company and that these trials all too often do not bear fruit.

further, the trial would seem to have only just started and will last 18 months, with a zillion slips 'twixt cup and lip

blanche - 17 Aug 2009 12:31 - 141 of 1204

Cynic this is a winner. Blow the cobwebs off that big old wallet of yours, and buy some. They will treble from here even without current trials, Soon as efsa confirmation comes through on wording.

Global Nomad - 17 Aug 2009 12:38 - 142 of 1204

the trial is for the next product stream, the current fruitflow additive is the one that is driving this change for the moment. EFSA approval, multi national agreements imminent ( ie not speculation about whether more at what level). AGM on 10th sept.

VIJAY128 - 17 Aug 2009 12:54 - 143 of 1204

Provexis has a strong balance sheet. My opinion is that it is a BUY up to 10p. It could climb to 5p by close of business today.

cynic - 17 Aug 2009 12:56 - 144 of 1204

blanche - how badly do you want it to tank? ..... if that badly, then perhaps i'll buy which will trigger the instant short signal!

VIJAY128 - 17 Aug 2009 13:04 - 145 of 1204

Provexis has a very small spread compared to lots of companies with similar price. It attract more speculative buyers.

cynic - 17 Aug 2009 13:08 - 146 of 1204

i am sure it's a dumb move, but have just bought a modest 50k at 4.5 ...... if i have any sense, which is looking less and less likely, i'll sell when or if there is ever a decent profit to bank

blanche - 17 Aug 2009 13:14 - 147 of 1204

Cynic, Hope you did your research first!

cynic - 17 Aug 2009 13:15 - 148 of 1204

no .... i allowed blanche to gull me

blanche - 17 Aug 2009 13:21 - 149 of 1204

Well there has to be a first time for everything. lol

blanche - 17 Aug 2009 13:24 - 150 of 1204

20 mil sells, but relentless buying mopping it all up.Buys 24mil at mo

blanche - 17 Aug 2009 14:02 - 151 of 1204

treeshake!!

cynic - 17 Aug 2009 14:03 - 152 of 1204

well that looks like the true kiss of death, as predicted
glad i didn't buy more!

Global Nomad - 17 Aug 2009 14:44 - 153 of 1204

glad to have you on board cynic
i'm sure you'll be satisfied. hope you don't have to wait too long......

cynic - 17 Aug 2009 14:47 - 154 of 1204

to die?

much more seriously, crohn's disease is really unpleasant and, if i am not mistaken, a cousin to ulcerative colitis, for which there is also no cure as yet ..... both diseases are also quite common, so a cure would benefit many

whether or not PXS has found this magic wand is a long way off being proven

Global Nomad - 17 Aug 2009 14:54 - 155 of 1204

agreed it is a way off but getting to human trials takes a lot of correct science all on its own, so indications are good.

cynic - 17 Aug 2009 14:59 - 156 of 1204

i think that just means that it has been shown that it won't poison rats, estate agents, car salesmen or MPs - in no particular sequence

moneyplus - 17 Aug 2009 15:09 - 157 of 1204

persistant talk on the other side that once the wording for promotions have been sorted out to efsa satisfaction and all is official---the real promotions begin. Sirco has been approved by the good morning tv doctor Chris Steele--let's hope he talks about it on the programme! Holland and B say sales are v good so far--I shall check with the Plymouth one tomorrow.
If pxs get the substitute daily aspirin with fruitflow tablet going--that would be a massive boost---also airline dvt--talk of selling the drink to travellers. If we then get the possible deals with coca cola---WOW! I need some sirco just thinking about it ***over to you cynic for a cold dose of reality and back to earth with a bump!
