ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

PTH,
Unfortunately I dont have level 2. But I am well in with a sustantial holding bought at 71 so any move north will be welcome. Thank you for the nod anyway. SD

SD, thanks for the reply, although I was referring to the other SD, (Stockdog). All a bit confusing these SDs, I think from an earlier post that SD is now sd? If you see what I mean?

PTH,
Yep SD is SEADOG, sd is stockdog. By mutual consent.

SEADOG - 12 May 2005 08:05 - 1411 of 5941

stockdog,
This mornings 3.5p rise put the sp above the 20 dma and almostup to the 50, so bodes well with such a good rise early in the day. SD

EWRobson - 12 May 2005 08:08 - 1412 of 5941

Bit galling that! Watched sp moving N whilst the clock ticked up to 08:00. Arrived at 50p so that's where I've had to do my trade: still, its an average of 46.25p with last weeks's trade. Bit far away 'next few weeks' but gives plenty of time for 'buy on rumour' brigade. Oh! that includes me! lol!

Another wise, probably older, dog. Who knows his bone from his sea biscuit! pth is another nautical man, I know, so its all cosy and cuddly on here what with me and my sd doggy.

'Among the small caps, QXL Ricardo, the on-line auctioneer, gained a further 300p to 28.50 in response to the Lastminute bid approach and news that Izaki, a group of Israeli investors, had increased their holding in the company to 26.2%. Rumours that a positive trading update will be published in the next few weeks helped ASOS, the online fashion retailer, improve 1.75p to 46p '

ASOS now UK's NO.1 most visited online fashion retailer

ptholden - 12 May 2005 16:52 - 1419 of 5941

Difficult to say, twas a protected trade so will have taken place during the day. However, would guess a buy which would account for the near 12% mark up early in the day.

would the mm's have walked this sp up for seller to off load. cheers

marketmaker - 12 May 2005 16:55 - 1421 of 5941

Walk ups are rare, walk downs are very common place.....

175K Broker to Broker trade also just shown up!!! Premium to OFFER price.....

Could see 60s and 70s very very soon....Basically proof that the stock is back in FASHION! :)00

EWRobson - 12 May 2005 23:03 - 1422 of 5941

lastminute.com bid approach shows value still there in internet companies. ASOS are already profitable, increasing hits rapidly (I think 100% year on year) and presumably, with the surplus stock problem in the past now trading with larger volumes and recovered margins. The new warehouse will further help margins. Am aiming to build my stake up gradually as funds permit to last year's level - basically a second coming!

Fashion group ASOS rose 5p to 51p, amid rumours that a positive statement will be published in the next few weeks.

EWRobson - 13 May 2005 17:15 - 1426 of 5941

Another good day for ASOS. Charts looking good. Left instructions to buy a half slug (1 slug = 3000), 51.5p. Checked before the golf match and SEO had freed up enough for another half slug at 52p. Building a nice position. Can see a golden cross ahead, can you? Will try to continue accumulating but need to take funds out to buy wife's car on Friday - a Toyota 1.3l GS Yaris Versa; funny looking but she's really excited which is great. That's 2 motability cars in 2 weeks, with 12K and 19K miles respectively. On a roll! Even won my match with 3 ft putt for the match taking 2 circuits of the hole before succumbing. Can life get much better than this!
