FDA clearance for Cystic Fibrosis DNA Test |
Sales of the eSensor instrument and CF test will commence in the first half of 2006 as planned.. . James White, CEO of Osmetech said: 'Gaining FDA clearance for our first microarray based test developed for our new eSensorTM molecular diagnostics instrument is a major step forward for our Molecular Diagnostics Division and will help to establish Osmetech as a key player in the fast growing moleculardiagnostics market. In addition, this FDA clearance helps to validate our microarray technology for routine use in the laboratory.Critical Care DivisionThe Division has a strong product portfolio and is well placed to continue the growth of instrument placements throughout the world, leading to revenues from proprietary consumables for a number of years to come.Sales of OPTI instruments and consumables remained strong resulting from increased sales of the new touchscreen version of the long-established OPTI (CCA). In 2006 we will start to see an important contribution to sales from the new OPTI LION portable electrolyte analyser and the OPTI R blood gas and electrolyte analyser with reusable consumable as these products are rolled out internationally.' Molecular Diagnostics DivisionFollowing FDA approval of the eSensorTM platform Osmetech are now looking to progress discussions with strategic partners who are looking for cost effective and easy to use instrumentation and consumables to work on other complex assays both in the healthcare and non healthcare markets. The next Osmetech Molecular test targeted for FDA submission will be the CYP 450 pharmacogenomics assay, which is currently in development. James White, CEO of Osmetech commented: 'We have been delighted with the rapid integration of the CMS business acquired in July. The powerful combination of the eSensor product together with OPTI GENE provides Osmetech Molecular Diagnostics with an excellent position in this rapidly developing and growing market sector. Both products remain on schedule for launch and revenue generation in the first half of 2006' |
Sales to year end up over 40% |
Osmetech has reported a strong rise in sales in the latter part of 2005 with growth driven byabove-forecast revenues at its Critical Care blood gas analysis division.. Sales for the Critical Care division in calendar year 2005 exceeded $14.7m, representing an increase of over 60% compared to the calendar year 2004. Approximately half of this overall growth is due to sales to veterinary distribution partner, IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. |
Vetstat Exceeds Idexx Expectations |
Sales of the VetStat electrolyte and blood gas analyser have been very encouraging and continue to exceed expectations. IDEXX's sales successes and continuing marketing efforts should result in further strong growth for the foreseeable future. As the installed base of instruments becomes established, revenues from proprietary consumables are expected to increase as a proportion of this veterinary business. Following a deal with leading US vetinary hopsital chain Banfield, Idexx are contracted to supply an additional 450 Vetstat devices over the coming year.Good progress is also being made with IDEXX on the development and supply contract to create a new platform for measuring critical care parameters based on Osmetech's proprietary optical fluorescence technology and consumables. It is anticipated that this market leading product is on target for launch late 2006/2007. |

Looking very strong now, rising on heavy volume. Seems both MM's EVO & WINS are trying to fill orders, pushing the price up in their competition.

Well someone has got to make a stand BK. Osmetech seem determined not to publicies themselves so if I make a bit of an effort and it gets a few more people on board all the better. After all we all benefit and hopefully it bugger up evil EVos plans.
L2 is looking strong this morning.
Only SCAP on the offer at 3.75. Next stop scap at 3.8 then we have 5 MM on 4p or more. That's 1 more than friday.
On the bid side Evo and MLSB lead the pack on 3.7 with Wins next on 3.65.
A decent bit of buying could see us push through 4p today.

Windys160,
Thanks for your input. Interesting what DW had to say. Atleast it confirms we will see something about Idexx in the results. Which can only be good. I wonder how much of an upfront payment Osmo got from Idexx for developing it?

BK . Only ever take a trading position to provide a bit of pocket money leading up to the results. Took 250ks worth a couple of weeks a go. The rest of my holding stays put currently got 1.8 million built up over 3 years for the long term. This baby is going to allow me to retire early.
Hopefully.

Spread pretty tight, no movement on L2 yet. L2 has its uses for non sets stocks just a shame it does not tell you how many the MM have got left to sell before they move up.
Scap are holing us back at 3.75. Depends how impatient EVO get. We may see a micro move up so EVO can go top of the back again.

KBC have now joined EVO and MLSB on the bid at 3.7 This will place more pressure on Evo to move up. Now 6mm sat at 4p and above.
Only scap spoiling the fun at 3.75 but given the buys so far today they can not stay there all day. When they've gone we'll see a big jump to 4p on the offer

I think most of us have been stiched up by EVO and the MM's games over the last couple of years, the real enemy is not each other it is EVO and the MM's. They are the fools we need to be making money off rather than giving it to them. This share needs people with balls of steel, you have to ride out the rough with the smooth, the ups and down and the pumps and dumps.
Study the company, look long and hard at what they are doing and how they are doing it. Look at the way Osmetech has transformed itself in the last 18 months. Look at the fundementals, look at the potential market for their products look at what the management have done to safe guard the long term future of the company.
Buying OPTI and MOLS were a strokes of genius and the company is still looking for similar deals. Despite all the knockers both on here and III Jimmy boy and co have done a great job stream lining the company and getting it focussed.
VIP5 and GENEDRIVE are going to be the real cash cows are a within 12 months of being launched. Osmetech will then have dipped two toes into a two multi billion dollar markets. By listening to the derampers and the notsoHOT pump and dump merchants now you could be kicking yourself in 18 months time.
Buy your shares and hold the bloody things. Don't sell them back to EVO at the first sign of a tree shake. EVO are well aware of what the future holds, why would they have backed Osmo financially if they did not? EVO will be hanging in to the glory days and so should you.
Become a TRUE INVESTOR Buy your thousand quids worth of shares and hold on to them through thick and thin.
18 Months from now I am sure you will be more than amply rewarded.
Have you got balls of steel or testicals of tissue?
