ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

there seems to be some significant off-loading by the market-makers after walking this sp up,nearly 2 million shares now over the last few trading days.
we all know how much they want are hard earned cash, hopeing for good news!
good luck all.

ASOS has updated the look and feel of it's website....

250 for a pair of jeans?!

EWRobson - 19 May 2005 13:50 - 1437 of 5941

Like it, marketmaker, especially the girls! Easy to navigate and build a shopping basket, although I didn't do that. Ahead of the comptetition, girls? No sign of sales so hopefully those are in the past and margins are being restored.

Thanks for charts, moneymaker. Nice and clear: where are they posted from. My view, and I think this matches yours, is that the volume willo emulate last year's once we get the RNS with positive trading update. Really in pro-active mode again and over their wee problems. No wonder there are problems on the High Street, with even NEXT prevaricating over internet trading. I wonder what the next ASOS initiative will be: digital TV? US push? Amazon presumably plus other portanls. By the way, could you explain the two hitwise charts, please; particularly the comparison with NEXT who I thing are still well ahead in terms of absolute internet trading.

EVIL CLOSES HIS SHORT

"In terms of the portfolio there has been a bit of a spring clean here at Evil Towers. I am prepared to admit that some of my investments and disinvestments are not heading the right way as fast as I would have liked. So on that basis I have closed shorts in ASOS......."

EWRobson - 20 May 2005 16:28 - 1442 of 5941

evil knievil had a short on SEO and closed it pretty damn quick with a fair old loss. What is not generally grasped that his short on ASC has been good news! The sp has come down below a fair value. Who would have believed we would have another opportunity for the upward ride of last year! Have topped up with a fourth CFD for 20K. Happy to wait another few weeks for the super trading news so that I can continue to ADD. Great chap, evil! The bull's best friend! lol!

I have lots to learn...put my stop too close and got knocked out of my CFD on ASC
Still the SEO one is doing nicely!

EWRobson - 20 May 2005 20:43 - 1444 of 5941

Hi Ruthie

Happens all too often. Don't believe in stop losses myself because
they seem to act in the interests of the broker! If a share really falls sharply it just goes past the stop loss. So the only sensible course if you are concerned about a share is a guaranteed stop loss which will cost you extra. I find it better to just keep a close watch on the situation and make my own judgement on where to sell.

Believe ASC is an excellent prospect for a CFD just now. A positive trading statement will be along sooner or later and the share is oversold. Evil has closed his short so there could be some buying as a result on Monday to close short positions. I wouldn't chase it up without hard news. This may not come until the end of the current quarter in July. I think it is more likely to come when the warehouse move is completed and they want to tell that story, quite likely in the next two or three weeks.

I'll donate a nice bottle of Gran Reserva for closest to the pin or something for the Golf Challenge.

Peter

EWRobson - 22 May 2005 13:56 - 1448 of 5941

Well done, Peter. I'll bring a bottle of Rioja for the longest drive as I will have no chance to win it - unless I am the only one on the fairway, that is!

With all this good wine on offer should I take up golf again, I wonder. Last gave it up when I was 7 yrs old (and I'm not talking dog years, before you ask!)

From advefn:

get 'em whilst you can basically! fidelity is the world's largest fund manager and is investing in a company which has a market cap BELOW 50million at the moment.

funds can't normally invest in companys who market cap is below 50mill.

something is brewing and i'm sure the retail punter will be the last one to know but this is HIGHLY POSITIVE NEWS. imho

Is trying to breakout above the 50 day MA, volume on balance is positive. All the TA indicators (at bottom of graph) are pointing to an UPWARDS move. On the Alexa charts it's hitting record highs again....

jimmy

have been in since last year and have continued to hold during the slide. Also took out a small spreadbet recently, which is now nicely in profit. Something looks like it is about to break and I guess it will be the trading update.
