If that's correct, I would imagine the Weakest Link to be a huge seller! Get on board now!

AH, now we have something. Released at just after 4pm......................
Zoo Digital Group PLC

recent placing at the issue price of 10.5p per share, as announced on 12
December 2003, Artemis AIM VCT plc are interested in 10,950,000 ordinary shares
in the Company representing 3.92% of the current issued share capital of the
Company.
For clarification purposes, the Company also announces that, following the

The ordinary shares referred to above are ordinary shares of 0.2p per share.
For further information please contact:

So here we have an institutional buyer taking the placing up at 10.5p per share and more importantly the CEO ups his stake at 10.5p. Nothing mentioned during the day about this. Wonder if this was a leak??????.
Will not sell now and will play it as I see it developing in the morning. Would only top slice anyway.
cheers GF.

Do they have annual figures out soon or even a Christmas trading update....dont forget that everyone has been saying DVD sales have been exceptional over Christmas and hence ZOO's games for DVD's must logically also sell well.

Ammendment to my post above. CEO Stewart actually gave word he would subscribe to 7 million plus shares in november when the placing was announced. So his buy is not based on xmas trading my appologies.

PB, last xmas they gave a trading update on the 20/12/2002. Nothing after.
I have lifted this from ShareCrazy............
I dont think wwtbm did too badly.
It did get into the BBC top 40 dvd chart(number 32 its highest position?) and it was in the top 20 Blockbuster charts recently.
This ones a real volatile devil, be careful.

Goldfinger...looks like your apprehension was justified...bad trading update this morning and a drop....so in short term bed news, but longer term does not look too bad

Buckets agree.
Well thats a profit warning and a kick in the teeth no matter how you look at it.
It is only of a temporary nature though and one the games industry seems to be blighted with ie, non delivery on time etc etc.
This is certainly no company breaker like whogs was before xmas but the company as to rely less on tittles I feel and start to sell more licences on the dvd extra technology something CEO stewart seems to be doing here is what it said in the report...
'The DVD-EXTRA division accelerated investment and resources to the development
of DVD-EXTRA in the latter part of the year and as a result has generated losses
for the year higher than forecast'
We can see that they are giving this part of the business all they have got.
I suppose there is one consolation in that the price is back to where it was monday before the B/B hype started.
Im very much staying in, but Im not giving out silly excuses like some of the nutters on adfvn, the same ones who hyped it up.
cheers GF

I think ZOO should also consider the DVD-Extra suite as potential for Film companies. The prospect of interactive movies with several endings is far more likely to bring in the money than games such as "who wants to be a millionaire" IMHO (the consoles can do far more). So far I haven't heard of any connection between DVD-Extra and films, but maybe ZOO should look into that possibility.
What do you think folks?

hi goldfinger,
been out all morning got back to find zoos poor trading update, dropped too far
now to sell (i did take some profit out at highs a couple of days ago.) I hope you don't mind me asking, but I don't understand the implications of the split now between the publishing side and the dvd extra side, they are still trading as one company arent they? is this a good time to top up again,
your opinion would be greatly valued ( I will of course dmor)
thanks
julie.

Hi Julie, nice to see another lady on the board, only spoken to three women in the past little woman, anna and our Linzi on this board. It is a well known fact that women are better at controlling money, well especially my money, my girlfreind keeps a sharp eye on it beleive me. She knows to the penny how much I have spent on pints per week, no joking, and have to say it does get on my wick when she brings it out when we are having a tiff. Im sure my local landlady knows her, but they both deny this, one day I am sure I will catch one or the other in mid sentence.
Now to ZOO, I have never been a big fan of gaming companys and never will*, I think that the splitting in to two divisions is an excelent idea, and In fact I bought this share because of the DVD Extra technlogy and not the titles they publish. All along I have maintained that I think this company will be a take out target, ie, one of the bigger boys will buy it to further develop DVD extra or they will buy it to bin it and take out the competion, it does and as happened.
I see the split as positive because I feel that CEO Stewart is also now thinking this way and I see a sell off of the DVD Extra business further down the road as per my thoughts above.
It could go for a lot of money, an awfull lot of money.
If this happens and I think it will, I would not want to be in the company based on its publishing business and I will take my profits.
As for buying in again, no simply no, because I think you will find that when they do release results we will again get a fall back and I dont rule out another profits warning come late summer. Profit warnings tend to come in threes I reckon you know about that anyway.
Im now at a positon where I own just below a declareable position, and Its going to stay that way as Im in for the long term (whatever that may be)and Im a patient type when it comes to share holding.
I did warn earlier this week on this board and others that I thought the spike upwards was just based on adfvn hype, and yes it was, Im glad you took some profits. I suppose the one consolation we have from the warning is that the price is now no lower than mondays. Im in for the long term and think I will make a mint out of these.
cheers goldfinger.
* why is it these games companys cant get their stock to the likes of Woolies, Boots, Smiths and other retailers on time and in Quantity?. All they need is a production line, workers, a van and a driver. Seems to me they all use the same excuse for everything.

Skids, excelent idea that, never ever thought that way myself. Why not give CEO Stewart a ring and put forward your idea. Hes a real nice chap and have spoken too him on a couple of occasions, hes not one of these that books appointments. If hes not in a meeting he will speak to you there and then
cheers GF.

hi goldfinger, thank you for, as ever, your very informative reply, that clears things up for me. Had a giggle about the 'women are better at controlling money bit' I don't know if I fit that description yet! but I have banked about 2 grand thanks to zoo so far, and although that may be loose change to some people I am well chuffed I can tell you, as this is the first share I ever bought. I'll continue to hold zoo long term and wait and see, but I agree the dvd extra side of things seems more promising.
thanks again
regards julie.

According to a leading TA Website
What can be expected , is that while above the August support line / 50 day moving average at 10p on a weekly close basis, we are looking at an April 2003 resistance line target of 27p.not only that he says this could be a ten bagger if things carry on the way they are

i am interested to know why people are holding on to this stock. am i missing something here?
i sold at 15p and since then the stock has dropped and now fallen below its support and 10/20 moving average. looking at that, to me it is a jump ship stock now.
however, i notice a lot of you are holding regardless. can someone tell me what you are expecting please? i mean is there something due out that will increae the price?
i will appreciate your help as i dont really want to miss out!

Hopefully the company will enter into a partnership with a big interational player. CEO Stewart as maintained that all along. If that happens we could see the price really take off.
cheers GF.
