brockman - 29 Sep 2004 16:52 - 14933 of 23498

(Edit) that's because we did not defrost properly..

hilary - 29 Sep 2004 16:53 - 14934 of 23498

Opto,

We were in Val d'Isere last Xmas. My husband was parking the car when he drove over what looked like snow, only to find that the snow was covering a large rock which ripped the petrol filter from the underside of the car. There was petrol gushing out everywhere.

There was only one garage for miles. They came out, collected the car, repaired it within 24 hours and opened up on Xmas morning for us to collect. How much? 50 (or under 40) ..... we were amazed as we had been expecting at least another zero on the end of the bill.

On the same holiday, I had to be rescued from the mountain on the "Blood Wagon" (a stretcher on skis, piloted by a suicide freak). That 5 minute journey cost nearly 300!!!

Socrates - 29 Sep 2004 16:57 - 14935 of 23498

Hilary
You would have to pay me a lot more than 300 to do a suicide run.

stockbunny - 29 Sep 2004 17:03 - 14936 of 23498

So I take it you wouldn't recommend it for a holiday then Hils.
Socs- don't think we can throw trifle for you - will all get a bit
messy!

hilary - 29 Sep 2004 17:09 - 14937 of 23498

On the contrary, Bunny Girl. The leg's nearly back to normal now and the snow will start falling soon. Can't wait!!

Socrates - 29 Sep 2004 17:11 - 14938 of 23498

stockbunny
If I were to volunteer to lick it off....................

stockbunny - 29 Sep 2004 17:12 - 14939 of 23498

Well good luck and enjoy Hils!!!
Ok I'm off to cook dinner,
Reminder to Al - 8pm Property Ladder - chance to see another
developing mess if it's anything like last weeks colour mayhem!!
Have a good evening all and Be Good!! ;>)

stockbunny - 29 Sep 2004 17:12 - 14940 of 23498

Socs - I know you're helpful but really we do have a mop and bucket
