In the recent Agm the chairman said "the company has made a positive start to the financial year and the board remains optimistic about prospects for the business."

Pre-tax losses have also nearly halved from 6.4 mln to a loss of 3.4 mln on cost cutting. They have also had a successful fund raising.

Also chart indicators show that it may be time for the next leg upwards past recent resistance at 7.5p. and please remember you are responsible for the timing of your own buying and selling actions.

Thanks for your post GF, it has restored some confidence that this company and smart cards is a smart share for investors mid to long term. And thinking a little 'outside the box' and the application of compulsory National I.D. & Bank smart cards which are huge markets, with these and a tie-up with applications for the new smartphones and telematics systems and the potential becomes enormous.

Disposal of Equity Investment

ID Data is pleased to announce that on 9 January 2004 the Company disposed of
2,000,000 Ordinary Shares of 5p each in New Opportunities Investment Trust plc
('NOIT') for a consideration of 1,097,800. The disposal represents a premium
of 97,800 to the written down carrying value of the investment in the Company's
interim results for the six months to 30 September 2003.

This sale represents the total holding of ID Data and thus the Company no longer
has a notifiable interest in the issued share capital of NOIT, however ID Data
continues to hold 400,000 warrants in NOIT, which are exercisable at 1.00, at a
nil carrying value.

Completely agree with you GF, but why has this stock not moved? I got in way above 11p so any rise is welcomed at this point.

Hi just bought into this stock reason as RTD is now on upward trend as should be then IDD I reason must surely go same way imho. My buy at 6.55p mid at 6.62p so showing on trades list as sells as it would. xfinger good investment best wishes all D. :-))

Been trying to buy all day with a limit order at 6.7, but no joy. There are 16 successive trades all marked as sells (although I realise they may not be), and no buys. What does it all mean??

Xargon I am certain all those 'sells' are buys at less than posted mid price therfor show as sell see my 159 of 160

Yes Douggie, I saw your post, hence my puzzlement at not being able to buy at 6.7.

I see some buys now recorded hope one is yours Xargon..I've high hopes for this one.

So have I douggie, but it keeps kicking me in the teeth every time I think its set for a break out. Still convinced the loan notes have had a lot to do with holding this back.
