Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.
So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

It is my belief that there is a good prospect of Manston being a very successful cargo airport. Ask yourself this, why did two separate companies apply for planning permission for food processing plants on Manston Business Park and why is Planestation building a BIP?
Doesn't anyone else think that the three events are connected? The food processing plants won't be built on the strength of a whim any more than the BIP will.

Hi Socrates,
Presume you are correct. Why are the City/Savy Investors not buying the shares
at this price ???

EUjet
City not impressed - only 3.75 @ 20,000,000 V
Also,it says CONDITIONAL agreement.I would like to read the conditions.
What Manston needs is a BIG connection with Florida as that is the ONLY place
Manston is going to make serious money by e.g.building up a North American
network.

"Why are the City/Savy Investors not buying the shares
at this price ???"
IMHO the reason is simple, it's too early, even with the announcement of the EUjet deal, but it is another example of what is going on behind the scenes. Remember also that the placing shares were fully taken up so some of the big boys are in there.
I have no doubt that the Planestation team are beavering away working on other contracts and, like many other companies, PTG is recovering from some serious problems caused by the bear market and more specifically 9/11 and SARS. I know it's no good playing the "if" game, but I suspect PTG would be in a whole different ball game without 9/11 and SARS. Look at what has happened to the major airlines worldwide and then consider how our little minnow of PTG has survived, many aviation companies went bust so I reckon the current team are doing pretty well given those circumstances.
Unlike you, I do not believe that the USA is the golden pot. Aviation over there is seriously competitive. I think there may be more to be made in Europe and transatlantic but not in the USA itself. Also, we have to remember the Planestation concept has yet to bear fruit. If EUjet announces routes to Parchem, Lahr, Cuneo etc., then we will be talking serious earnings.

Hi Socrates,
A lot of what you say is valid.Nonetheless, the price has closed at 3.88p
at 40,000,000 Volume -- 10 APPROX days ago it was 4.66.
Just a guess : I think the City - like me - are extremely disappointed that
the Directors have,Once Again, made a terrible mistake by doing this deal with
such a minor player that operates in an oversaturated market. We disagree on the
North American potential but agree on the Florida/Melbourne -www.portcanaveral.
org/about/airport.htm.-situation.
I think the Directors should have their main focus on :-
1.Londoncityracecourses vast potential.
2.Florida + Everything associated with it e.g.business parks and springboard
for North America Network ref their plans for passengers plus CARGO.
3.Maximising Manston. However,Manston has one HUGE problem in that it cannot
operate flights at night.Perhaps this is the reason share price has dropped i.e.
they lost the night flight case last week.
4.Changing - immediately - their P.R.firm to one that AGGRESIVELY MARKETS
Manston,ETC.A few weeks ago the Telegraph did a 7 page spread about Florida
and travel to it.Manston did not get ANY publicity.Londoners, etc HAVE to be sold
Manston. Why will they use it if they have not heard of it ?

I suspect we may differ on a number of points of detail. For example, I disagree with your statement that Londerners have to be sold Manston. That is very questionable since many posters over a period on "another BB" have clearly stated that they have travelled up to 200 miles in order to get a cheap flight to their destination of choice. Indeed, people travel to Heathrow and the other London airports from all over the country and there are car hire firms that make a living feeding that need. Bear in mind that from Eastern and Southern London, Manston is likely to be reached quicker than either Heathrow or Gatwick and with the proposed fast rail link could be even more attractive.
It's all a matter for the individual and what I think may be different to what Fred Bloggs thinks. Time will tell. Bottom line of course:
"Why will they use it if they have not heard of it ?"
because it's where their cheap flight leaves from.
I therefore see no reason why Manston should be any different as long as it has the necessary flights and the airlines have the attractive fares.

Yesterday's deal with EUjet announcement has certainly set Planestation moving.
Over 4 million trades and not yet reached 30 minutes into the trading day. Price moved up and spread narrowed.

Do you know any details of the proposed fast rail link?
Any web pages that cover it?
12.9% UP, I was thinking of buying more yesterday morning.
Oh well, very pleased with the rise so far.

There has been quite a bit written about it, I will post a link if I come across one. I seem to recall mention in the Kent County Council Transport Plans and also in the Thanet District Council plans. TDC are very interested because they want faster train service to London from the Thanet coast towns.

Investment in Birchington, Westgate, Margate, Broadstairs but NOT Ramsgate. You could end up with negative equity there, overflights etc.! Commercial property might be OK though.
PS
Re Ramsgate: Unless you are a planespotter, in which case you could lay back in your deckchair and count the rivets as the planes pass overhead.

I live in Ramsgate and i can say that there are many others with shares in the comapany. There are a minority which form a group called MAG ? that oppose the development of the airport. Most of these people live directly under the flight path and have nothing better to do but have a moan.
