MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

Hmmmn, could take a while then..........

Wishbone - 29 Jan 2008 09:55 - 156 of 8631

Article in Daily Mail today may in a small way partialy explain Credit Agricole bail out.

scotinvestor - 29 Jan 2008 10:49 - 157 of 8631

what does it say?

Wishbone - 29 Jan 2008 11:12 - 158 of 8631

The article is to do with Credit Agricole leading a "French solution" rescue package for Societe Generale amid foreign interest in SG.

Dil - 29 Jan 2008 11:27 - 159 of 8631

They were bailing out a long time before SG found out abouts its troubles .... so that article is full of crap.

Wishbone - 29 Jan 2008 15:50 - 160 of 8631

Is that based on all the 6250's

Dil - 29 Jan 2008 16:28 - 161 of 8631

No ... think if you read the announcements it says somewhere .

kimoldfield - 30 Jan 2008 11:37 - 162 of 8631

Credit Agricole Cheuvreux SA increased their holding to 8,510,198 (4.25%) on 25 Jan.

halifax - 11 Feb 2008 11:08 - 163 of 8631

Almost a month has passed and still no news from the committee on the possible bid?

hangon - 14 Feb 2008 13:13 - 164 of 8631

I expect Dir are looking at the range of wheelbarrows to take the money down to the bank . . . expect very large numbers, if the PI excitement is anything to go by.
I don't hold now.

halifax - 14 Feb 2008 13:31 - 165 of 8631

Hangon why, dont you think the takeover will happen?

Fred1new - 14 Feb 2008 14:10 - 166 of 8631

I think I would depend on price, anything below 150p would less than its value.

hangon - 15 Feb 2008 13:04 - 167 of 8631

Halifax: - I didn't say that, did I?
but would you pay 1++ for this business?
What's their Cash/Debt position?
What's their Turnover?
What's their profit?
What's the yield?
(Yes, I know the last one, =zero)
Earlier shareholders have suffered dilution (esp. recently I understand), yet still this stock appears to defy logic IMHO - just follow the chatter and the Company's RNS
is curiously upbeat whilst saying nothing useful. Nothing Illegal I hasten to add.

Halifax - are you a Buyer at these levels - I guess that ans. tell it all-?
Fred1new - 1.50 is a significant figure - any bidder needs to value MDX at something in excess of the 300m Mkt. Cap - say 400m - grief, look at the alternatives! It is abt 4x [OXB currently 99m, with nearly 40m Cash.] and twice WLW - which is yielding about 12% - I hold a few of both these, (but not MDX....I held BPRG, their name until recent acquisitions). .. . . DYOR
What kind of prospects would make anyone with deep pockets buy MDX?

halifax - 15 Feb 2008 13:24 - 168 of 8631

Hangon so your answer is no bid.

Fred1new - 15 Feb 2008 14:34 - 169 of 8631

I am prepared to wait the prelims on 21/4/08, from projections will expect price well in excess of 100p, but this company has been the target of shorters numerous time before.

Dil - 15 Feb 2008 15:15 - 170 of 8631

I still think 120p tops and more likely to be in the 90p - 100p range if the bid materialises.

halifax - 29 Feb 2008 17:12 - 171 of 8631

So after waiting patiently for the committee to make up its mind we learn that an offer has been rejected as inadequate. Shareholders are none the wiser as to who may have made an offer nor do we know the value of said offer. Again we are being treated like mushrooms. Doesnt it remind you of BPRG?

johngtudor - 29 Feb 2008 17:54 - 172 of 8631

Halifax,

You make a good point but as it was not a formal offer it is my understanding that they cannot publish the details of the offer. Suggest holders watch price and volume activity over next few weeks. That will be more of an indication as to where this saga is going to end. The close today suggests the mkt is looking for/expecting a better and formal offer......but who knows.

Final point I think the company is behaving very unlike the bad days of BPRG, they appointed an outside advisor to look at offers, and options. Seems to be OK. Lets wait and see, no harm really after all this time. It could be that they will actually make a trading profit this year!

buxted - 18 Mar 2008 15:31 - 173 of 8631

Does anybody know what is going on with Meldex today?? I'm new to the stock but it seems very interesting.......

halifax - 18 Mar 2008 19:05 - 174 of 8631

Final results due in April will disclose the real picture perhaps that is why a bid has not emerged.
