In all hosesty my seven year old has a better website than that - and all the links work!

NEC Packaging show today.

I could only stay for a short while in the middle of the day and the (double-size) stand was extremely busy with punters from the packaging industry. It did not seem appropriate for me to engage the SEO staff and take them away from their duty to sell the company products.
Some snippets gleaned or overheard, no particular order just what I recall:-

Howard had been around for a while but I did not see him
Martin, the CEO is in the USA
Terry was there yesterday
Kellogs want a biodegradeable liner for their cereal packets
Marks and Spencer reps visiting the stand
SEO will be at the big European Packaging(Paris? ) show later in the year

No Greenseal machine on display this time around, but quite frankly I would have been amazed if it had been there.
The promotion push on the stand was for Starpol/ Biotec / Frogpak lines.
Saw promotion of new Frog-Mat - a corrugated wrap-around I believe.

Starpol does have its competitors, but SEO has a good lead with this type of product.
"How would Stanelco cope with the ability to produce large tonnage orders of Starpol"? This question from me produced a hesitating answer that did not inspire me with confidence. Could be an issue ?

Nice to see a really busy stand and as a previous poster has stated there was very little biodegradable competition on view this day.

Ironic really but the stand was so busy I could not get answers to my questions.

If the stand had beenquiet I would have more answers but come away dissapointed by the lack of interest ! Is that a catch 22 ?

The Kellogs thing makes me wonder whatever happened to the plastic bag hype PM1 came up with. Love him or loathe him he was usually right about the product, even if he was a little over exuberant about the potential!!!

Hello once again, having not visited this board for a very long time, it's good to see some lively debate.

I think we are now on the very edge of something great, and it's at times like this that people do get edgy, those with patience(me) and those who put the stock in the bottom drawer will live a lot less stressed out I feel.

I do receive the regular EMails from PM1, and find his latest research into release liners very interesting, especially the numbers and broad range of uses, where Starpol should at least be able to get a foothold easily in one area, if the company pursue this .

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this, the possibility or potential ?

So it's no wonder that the future belongs to the clever label. The consulting firm A.T.Kearney (Chicago) forecasts that using the chips would allow trade to increase its profits by seven percent. "RFID represents the greatest opportunity for the self-adhesive products industry in the next ten years", expects Jules Lejeune, Managing Director of FINAT (The Hague, Netherlands), the European association dedicated to the self-adhesive labeling industry. No less than 27 billion m2 of release liners were sold on the world market in 2004 practically the size of Belgium or 2.7 million football pitches

Hi JJS,
So far we have all concentrated on the plastic wrappings for meat, fish and salads really, but we always did debate the innumerable uses there were for SEO products in just about anything we throw away!!
Personally, I feel SEO has a bit of a problem just now with getting one or two ideas to market, without them going for anything else, so I would be happy for them to concentrate on the "low hanging fruit" and showing some good profits.
I really do think that half the problem with SEO this past year has been taking their eye off the ball, because they had more ideas and avenues than capable staff to pursue them.
That is why I like the licensing business model. It should clear their desks to move onto the next use for their technology. But hopefully, not till their desk is clear, Greenseal is in, Starpol is manufactured succesfully in bulk and the problems are past, otherwise it will be more false dawns, setbacks and grumbling investors.

Evening all,

Lots of talk of different ways in which SEOs technology can be used. For me I would like to see at least 1 revenue stream within 2006. Its all very good having the ideas but putting them into practice and generating profit is another game altogether.

I assumed there would be a large trade at the end of the day to explain the price movement today, nothing appeared.
