My god, you're right, I never thought of dial-up internet customers wanting to log on to their website. How many Greanseal sales lost?? I must sell my shares, this company will never get anywhere, reason: annoyed dial-up users. Class, I couldn't have made that one up!

bosley - 15 Mar 2006 16:59 - 15614 of 27111

biscuit, you arrogant prick. the web site is a shop window. it's been up and running a few years now and any problems should have been sorted out. i agree that it isn't the most pressing of problems for seo at the moment , but , as people have pointed out, interested parties will look at the seo website for further information about the company. if you are looking to deal with a competent , professional outfit then you would expect their website to reflect that. this is the modern world and it has become the norm for companies to have working, attractive websites to stimulate interest and sales. this is something that should have been taken care of a long time ago. it isn't the first time the crapness of the seo website has been brought up.

stockdog - 15 Mar 2006 17:00 - 15615 of 27111

I really don't like this breach of the 14p line - can anyone interpret waht's going on in MMland?

Thanks

Getting tired of SEO's little deals with other companies that have been going on for about a year now. Remember training US engineers to achieve rapid roll out in the States? At this pace they will have retired before they are called upon. Anyone got a copy of John Cleese's " How to close a deal"? If so plse forward to SEO management team.

lukeman - 15 Mar 2006 17:48 - 15617 of 27111

I keep getting tips to invest in this stock but for the life of me can't see why it is so hotly tipped and attracts so much attention. Is this company on the verge of turning enormous losses into a profit? If so, it doesn't look that way from anything that I have read. Before I get called a p***k, I am not an expert and only asking!

hewittalan6 - 15 Mar 2006 18:04 - 15618 of 27111

lukeman,
The losses are not that big and the potential upside is truely huge!!!
Names like Walmart, McDonalds and Pepsi are linked to this company as potential customers. Wal mart are already in discussion, so yes, the company may be on the verge of profit.
As always, its a risk and DYOR, but a good place to start is Drivers research page (link in the header).

Technotamed - 15 Mar 2006 18:10 - 15619 of 27111

The trick is to get in early, higher risk but higher reward. With just 500 this gets you a lot of shares at the moment, you can add later if good progress is made.

Tech
Gets you even more PCM 384615 to be precise.

ssanebs - 15 Mar 2006 18:44 - 15621 of 27111

a colleague of mine sold 650,000 today which he bought ahead of the results, which has caused the slight drop. CEO back this week from the US so should bring news of the wal mart deal and further discussions with macdonalds.

sellsell - 15 Mar 2006 18:45 - 15622 of 27111

did he make a profit ? are you still in ssanebs

DaZSEO - 15 Mar 2006 21:13 - 15623 of 27111

Hi all,

I agree with all who say the website is important, so much so that I contacted SEO about it around October I think and offered to update the site for free. I was told thanks but they had two people working on it....

It would take someone just a few hours to tidy up the dead links, wrong info etc and that was what I offered to do.

I agree they do not have to spend tens of thousands as they are not an E-Commerce site but with all the PR they have had with a link back to SEO you would just think that all the information should be easily accessible and at least look semi professional. You have to make your website work for you.

hewittalan6, had a look at your website, it is not crap! it looks professional and does the job, the only thing I would say is that using Flash does have it's limitations when it comes to promoting the site via Search Engines.

Anyways, I am still confident in SEO but just get frustrated from time to time. I still topped up last week though :)

Prospector - 15 Mar 2006 21:31 - 15624 of 27111

Agree with DaZSEO and more important Bosley, think he sums the situation up perfectly, and it is a poor reflection on the company and is easy and quick to sort out, but bit like the converting the low hanging fruit that we talk about , both are easy but there seems to be a problem converting.

Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow, I followed the trades on global topic today and there seemed to be as many buyers as sellers, however may see more selling over the next few days, as financial year is coming to a close and people maybe trying to realise losses, hopefully buying back after the 6th

dawall - 15 Mar 2006 23:37 - 15625 of 27111

Biscuit I disagree, if they are going to have a website then they should get it right, working, polished and professional looking. Anything else just gives the impression of shabbiness, couldn't care less, it doesn't really matter attitude so how would a potential new customer view their products? It's all about marketing and projecting the right image. If they aint got the time then the should get someone hired PDQ, they are a 100m+ business (for now anyway), they should get it done.

dawall - 15 Mar 2006 23:40 - 15626 of 27111

on another subject does anyone know how much corn is req. to make 1t of Starpol and if SEO are going the way of 20t quantities who does the corn sourcing? Or is it all done in some other way with the Starpol manufacturer taking the finished raw materials from another company that does the "corn conversion"? For the quantities of Starpol potentially talked about in future is corn a potential bottleneck?

tweenie - 16 Mar 2006 00:04 - 15627 of 27111

The USA alone produse a surplus to demand of approx 1 to 2 billion bushells of corn per annum. The raw material is'nt a problem. In fact using it instead of dumping it on the world market can only be a good thing.

ssanebs - 16 Mar 2006 01:11 - 15628 of 27111

no he did not make a profit but could not afford to hold, but i am still in. I am holding my breath for the US update, news on the carclo jv, and further asda/starpol trials, the problems with tooling on the greenseal have now been resolved and both machines will be fully commercialised. SEO are concentrating fully on the US at the moment as it will be significant to gain wal mart and macdonalds as first customers, and as we know from the rns that trials are underway.

hewittalan6 - 16 Mar 2006 07:14 - 15629 of 27111

Did anyone else see a news item the other day about poisons in plastic bottles leaching from the pla into the bottled water?
Wonder if this issue is reduced or eradicated by using starpol.
Might be another bonus to using it, or pla may suddenly be a packaging anti-christ. Starpol is pla based and that would be an instant death for the product, if a poison free alternative is available.
probably the usual scare mongering nonsense but we live in an era where consumers are very easily scared.
Alan

ssanebs - 16 Mar 2006 11:47 - 15630 of 27111

nice to see the big sell yesterday mopped up by a buyer.

greekman - 16 Mar 2006 12:28 - 15631 of 27111

Alan,

Yes, I also saw an article re this about 6 weeks ago. I think if my memory serves me right it was relating to liquids such as bleach and similar. No doubt there are many such examples. I don't think it is scare mongering as it's not the first time I recall such info. As to wether Starpol would prove positive or negative re this I have no idea. Perhaps someone out there has some further info.
Dave.

Does anybody have any views on SEO's current cash situation? Blinger (now on FYB as Stainco) is making claims that they are short of cash and about to make a cash-call.

Based on nothing, as far as I can tell - as per normal for his posts. I seem to remember a while back Howard White saying they has enough cash for 18 months even if no further income was received.
