CMS Webview What is the potential for this share ? (CWV)

GEOFFREY.R - 01 Nov 2003 16:46

I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

sheny24 - 17 Jun 2004 09:55 - 1596 of 1924

The news flow from CMS is unusually sparse , this leads me to believe there could be a blockbuster annoucement due to be released soon. The management i believe are tying up several contracts ie TDI and PHROPHET X . My opinion is we as investors could be pleasantly suprised at the progress BOB ANTELL and his experienced group are making regards s24c

and what with the football, wimbledon, summer hols etc.....sell in May come back in the autumn....etc (and if they sink further pick some up!)

I like round numbers, so just wanted to post number 1600 on this thread!

As for CWV, I remain confident, and feel that patience will reward us. The upside from these levels far outweighs the downside risk IMHO, particularly given the huge cash balance this company holds in the bank.

Strange to see a MM buy of 100k thats the first one I have seen for six months.
We are nearly at the half way mark, CMS have generally delivered on future
forecasts lets hope they keep it up.

I have just been adding to my holding at less than the M/M buy.
Dont know why the M/m bought at that price. Any one know who the M/M was?

Final comment as i know longer have a significant holding. Todays news was more or less on the cards as they had not landed a single contract during the past 6 months. In fact its been almost 16 months since the last major contract. Price imho will return back to the 4p level where it will probably stay until a TDI contract is signed. Reading beween the lines of todays statement, i wouldnt expect to much for the remainder of the year. CMS as i have commented earlier are going to find signing contracts very very tough. And being a company with a cap a few million only adds to the problem.

beaufort1 - 01 Jul 2004 08:54 - 1605 of 1924

Yes very disappointing news.

Before we all turn out the lights on this thread, current market cap is 4.8m as against cash pile at 31/12/03 of 3.3m. Say they have spent 500k of that - is the substantive business really only worth 2m??

Looks like a v attractive takeover target now.

Morning fellas,

The fundamentals of the company are still sound. I'm not sure things are reallythat bad as yet, the large contracts that CMS are looking to sign always drag out for longer than expected due to delays in capex etc. I beleive if they don't gain any contracts in the second half then we may be more inclined to worry a little. Kurt Klein was only employed a month ago in the US so that will only just be coming into full swing. Of course that is only my opinion!

Well havin gwatched the non performance of this share over several months I did feel the reaction was a little over the top. The news is coming out which is a good thing, rather than no news at all which is how so many smaller companes seem to do business. The losses are still reducing though not to break even. A sale or two will change that.

Yesterday i averaged down a little, it may go down to 4 but a believe like biscuit that the sales will come ad the price will respond.

Been in this for a while now and the closer we got to 30th June without an announcement, the more it dropped. They were expecting one TDI in 1st half and 5 in 2nd. This may look optimistic but the update said they were exploring a number of leads. One TDI will make the price jump. I can't see it dropping below 4p. I backed it at 10p and so would be looking to get a few more at 4p.

thestatusquo - 01 Jul 2004 17:29 - 1610 of 1924

Agree chaps, disappointing news, but glad of some news.

I'm very reluctant to sell at these levels, given the downside from here has got to be limited with the cash in the bank.

Agree with previous posts regarding patience. We're not really giving the US sales director time to warm his seat!

I remain a holder.

GRAEME.ALEXANDER - 01 Jul 2004 19:20 - 1611 of 1924

I have taken the chance and topped up twice with these over the last couple of days.I still see them as a good medium term hold. One new contract will see a big rise, and while we are waitng(its early days for USA and nothing in europe) the other side of the company is generating an incresing income. time will tell but I am still definatly in.
Graeme.

Theres one sin that you do not commit in the market and that is to promise then not deliver. CE and broker comfirmed not many months ago that they were happy with there targets of completing 1 deal during the first half and 4 deals during the second half. My take, from the statement is that the deal expected in the first half didnt lead to anything, rather than still on going.
Market is telling cms that it is not expecting any deals this year.It would also be very interesting to know their current and future cash burn rate.Looking at the volumes i dont think the institutions who bought into the placing are selling yet. But i would imagine there pretty p****d and will probably give cms another 12-18 months to deliver some more contracts. If they havent delivered by then it would have been almost 3 years since the last signing, and by then company would probably have received an offer.

momentum - 01 Jul 2004 21:09 - 1613 of 1924

In business size does matter and they dont come much smaller than cms webview. Market is currently valuing the business at 2.4p p/s. Thats 0.6p less than before all the hype and placing of last year.

bloodhound - 01 Jul 2004 22:37 - 1614 of 1924

Momentum is after another T10 punt.

Got your number.

Having bought into this one with a longer term view, I am happy to hold.

The statement was still quite bullish from the CEO. It merely moved the profitability target date out. The story remains the same, that TDI's are a big earner, and when they hit, they will radically effect the companys' results.

I very much still expect them to get those contracts!

IMHO this is now very oversold. The market does punish announcements like June 30, but that also provides opportunities for investors.

All IMHO.
