rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.
for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ
for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

Maybe so but all he's doing is advertising his own site for free here.. I don't mind one or two links but this person looks desperate with all the new threads and links put up on MAM this morning.

Well we should blame management for that Shortie Ive often said that this site needs moderating but it always falls on deaf ears. In fact Ive been saying it for years.
Just look at the Football thread and the chart thread both trashed at the weekend by two established posters, now if established posters are doing that what chance do we have against floating itinerants who move freely about the net and post at will.
None at all.
Join me, inform Ian better still inform the big cheese Mike B.

dr9980 is clearly going to be a total pain and nuisance, so have used the simple expedient of squelching him

js8106455 also does the same but at least he has the sense to do it in small doses, without being intrusive. Of course, don't click on their links and they will soon get fed up!

gf - Maybe you should look in the mirror and moderate yourself more? If you persist in making derogatory remarks about posters who would appear (in your eyes) to have the audacity to disagree with you. Then it is you, and you alone who are responsible for the demise of any thread.
As to the two threads you refer to as being trashed (in your opinion) Chart Thread and Football Thread I rest my case.

In fact it s seems strange that you are getting so hot and bothered about a thread being trashed here whilst not giving a dam yesterday.
Double standards springs to mind.
Yes all use the filter button I am going to.

Plain to see that you trashed the Threads Carson. You and your mate doodle bug the latter. It was obvious to anyone that both of you were intoxicated.
The vile language that came from you.
Take it elsewhere not here.
I have you both filtered now.

a (rash?) little dabble in dow long at 16860
============
and out +22
only a diddly profit, but not to be knocked
took it as much as anything as dow seems disinclined to rally much further for now
=============
so of course suddenly back through 16900 (thank goodness)
now fingers x-ed that it holds

I see doodlebug4 is up to the same tricks as he carried out saturday evening ie, that of trashing threads an established poster aswel, like I mentioned this morning we need to approach management and ask for Bulletin Board Moderators.
Lets face it if established members are hell bent on trashing threads the likes of itinerant spoilers like dr9980 this morning are free to post at will. And I see they still havent been moved.

CR - I've taken the liberty of copying your FLYB comment on to the FLYB thread on the m----am bulletin board as I now have your 'favourite' poster trying to give me aggravation on there. :-)

I think you were the poster who started copying and pasting from the advfn bulletin board gf and you certainly started it on the FLYB thread. As I said before - you are very good at dishing out the insults, but if someone starts fighting back, as Chris Carson did, then you expect administration to step in and help you.

He then goes on to post this which if this isnt trying to incite aggressive behaviour I dont know what is....

Not sectioned, but banned from this bulletin board perhaps CR.........ends
Posters like this are actually worse than the spam posters imo. They should be kicked off the board without any chance to explain themselves.

i have never had any prob with DD, but of course you do have a habit of fanning flames and taking up a lot of room cutting and pasting stuff that you reckon is trash from others
you're old enough to know to stay relaxed :-)

And what were you trying to achieve by copying and posting the comment on advfn about me on the FLYB thread gf if it wasn't an attempt to incite me. I thought you had me on filter anyway!
We had a very peaceful day on this bulletin board yesterday without your input and the minute you came back you start stirring it again. As I said before you must be a bulletin board administrator's nightmare.
