Quindell Portfolio = Extending nicely for the future! (QPP)

skyhigh - 19 Dec 2011 20:27

Bought in today... have missed out on the impressive gains so far but solid progress is being made here and a good story developing so it looks good for more gains in the near future (imho)....

Quindell Portfolio, the brand extension company, says trading has continued positively in the period under review, building on the strong performance delivered by the Group in the first half.

The company expects to be significantly ahead of market expectations for the 15 month period ending 31 December 2011.

The Group announced back in October that it had won contracts with six established brands and one exciting new digital brand within the insurance, telecoms and utilities sectors, including for the first time, solar energy; and that revenues for 2011 were expected to be ahead of market expectations.

Since then, the Group has won further major contracts with established brands within the telecoms, utilities, on-line education and insurance sectors for both its technology enabled business process outsourcing division and software solutions division.

In aggregate, these contract wins could contribute over £6 million of annualised revenues. In addition, the Group has acquired two further businesses, Maine Finance and, most recently, Mobile Doctors Group Plc.

Margin performance has also been strong and, for 2011, margins are expected to be between 35 and 40 per cent. within its technology enabled business process outsourcing operations

re - twit!

"cynic" looking at the broken mirror you see plenty of them
one of them is an old, ugly handicap Twit, spending all day over here with negative comments

Excuse me
stop slapping your face with a wet kipper,
just to make sure you are not dreaming?

oh dear oh dear
look; we all know you're aka MRSI as well as a number of other aliases, and that's no worry to me .....

you choose to be long here - good luck to you

i choose to be short - that's my view and just because it's different from yours, it doesn't mean that it's wrong and most assuredly does not call for abuse

cp1 - 05 Jan 2015 10:25 - 1660 of 1965

The mutt is looking as strong in the order book as I've seen for a long time. Neutral but would be tempted long if had some dollars.

skinny - 05 Jan 2015 10:28 - 1661 of 1965

I was thinking similar - the 6 month chart now looks quite promising!

cynic - 05 Jan 2015 10:46 - 1662 of 1965

i still think the company stinks, but may well cut my losses perhaps with a view to shorting again in due course

========

no point in continuing to piss against the wind so have bitten the bullet
ah well, can't win 'em all and have been doing well elsewhere of late

re - i choose to be short - that's my view and just because it's different from yours, it doesn't mean that it's wrong

You are not only wrong but still worse than TW ..........everything stinks as his underpants burn as your comments do as usual

Learn to trade instead of copying everyone else and loosing money as usual at the end.

cynic - 05 Jan 2015 12:20 - 1664 of 1965

and you you arrogant and ignorant twerp, should learn manners and take and stick to a New Year's resolution of not being so personally abusive

pim - 06 Jan 2015 00:10 - 1665 of 1965

The main reason for the rise in the SP now is simply that
it should never have been as low as this in the first place,
so it should now start to find its proper level.

Watch for the financial journalists to start gently back-tracking,
hoping that no-one will notice that they are actually doing a u-turn.

what a surprise! ## cynic ## is here also
causing confusion and trouble

It has always been my understanding
on reading past threads
he was the one asking the management
to get rid of ## Master RSI ##
and finally succeded, too many truth
were being released on the threads

cynic - 06 Jan 2015 07:59 - 1667 of 1965

in that case, you have neither read properly nor understood why MRSI (+ asst'd aliases) was kicked off here following many complaints from many quarters

After 2nd intraday large mark down is now recovering fast on the second one

Level 2 depth on no. trades is very positive 64 v 41 and of those 41 about 9 are old at over 70 to 90p

mentor - 06 Jan 2015 16:42 - 1669 of 1965

Some strange things were happening on the order book at the end of the day ( 100K on the offer side in and then out when was close to be taking by the bolt ) I suspect to make sure the share price didn't close on the positive note.

But safe by the bell the UT was at 54p

cynic - 06 Jan 2015 16:56 - 1670 of 1965

at present, the markets and specific share prices are not following logic, but rather just being driven by the price of crude - currently getting very close to $49

dow is all over the place as is ftse, with the inevitable result that there will be a goodly number of margin calls, automatic stops and similar which can play havoc

MARKET REPORT: Scandal-hit insurance claims processor Quindell shows its teeth as shares soar

Every dog has its day. Another reason why shares of scandal-hit insurance claims processor Quindell have soared 30 per cent-plus in recent days is not down to the company’s admission that it is in talks with a number of buyers about selling off several divisions.

More important – as far as its beleaguered shareholders are concerned – is that Martin Hughes’ Toscafund has been busy mopping up large lines of stock and now sits on a 5 per cent stake.

The hedge fund has made a habit over the years of investing in troubled companies and then assisting in successful turnaround strategies. Underperforming management are unceremoniously shown the door and Hughes usually replaces them with teams to immediately enhance shareholder value.

Dealers hear PwC will soon give Quindell a clean bill of health, clearing the way for its break-up or sale

Dealers hear PwC will soon give Quindell a clean bill of health, clearing the way for its break-up or sale

After crashing 86 per cent in 2014 amid controversial circumstances, Quindell’s shares were either ripe for recovery or heading for the knacker’s yard. They yesterday succumbed to early profit-taking and touched 47.75p before rallying to finish 0.5p dearer at 54p.

Rumours are rife that Quindell will soon announce the appointment of a ‘heavyweight’ chairman to take over from David Currie who stepped up as interim chairman in November following founder and chairman Rob Terry’s welcome resignation.

Currie immediately approved PwC to review the company’s accounting policies and cash generation. On that score, dealers hear PwC will soon give Quindell a clean bill of health, clearing the way for its break-up or sale.

Quindell has a vast array of divisions, from solar panel installation to scaffolding that it acquired under the spending-spree leadership of founder Rob Terry. Hughes obviously sees value in the company and probably agrees with one analysts’ view that Quindell is worth north of 80p a share on a break-up.
