Bit surprised that it failed to make a significant break higher this morning, but my new strategy said reverse at 18422 so I did. Who am I to argue with the system?

foale - 08 Jun 2004 13:52 - 1663 of 11056

above 1.8410
and highs becomes a "possibility" again

1.8430+ and I will be adding to my long

This could still be a prelude to the 'significant break higher'
Hilary mentiond in the earlier post

We have been in this 18300 to 18470 range since the end of last month
a big 'test' of support and resistance not out of the question b4 it breaks it to the upside

8 hour chart...showing candle 'tails' commensurate with getting ready to push higher by the end of the week

Staying long.. for the moment

Tellon - 08 Jun 2004 13:59 - 1664 of 11056

Afternoon All,

Short Cable from 1.8390 Stop at 550 from Sunday myself. Holding for a break bellow 300/295 level. Obvioulsy out and Long at 550.

foale - 08 Jun 2004 14:33 - 1665 of 11056

getting my "pips squeezed" atm....
usually a sign of a reversal..

Well done Hilary and Tellon

stubbornly added a few more to long at 18372

foale - 08 Jun 2004 16:00 - 1666 of 11056

Been out..just as well...

However...depsite the fall which looks like a selling climax to me
coupled with the near perfect Doji formed on the one hour
means I am staying long

Tellon - 08 Jun 2004 20:47 - 1667 of 11056

There is a perfect "double doji" on the daily.

The current candle is bearish engulfing the doji.

The double doji is also the fib support the rsi support and line supprt.

If the candle continues tomorrow and breaks the double doji I will make a lot of money. The market will explode down.

Tellon - 08 Jun 2004 20:47 - 1668 of 11056

Also BOE will not raise rates Thursday. Buy the rumour sell the news.

Tellon - 08 Jun 2004 20:54 - 1669 of 11056

Any views on my opinion?

Oil = 37.17 (-0.11)
Gold = 391.5 (-2.5)

hilary - 09 Jun 2004 07:24 - 1670 of 11056

Tellon,

I think that we've seen a typical market over-reaction to the price of oil over the last 3 or 4 weeks. The market now seems to be accepting the oil situation (bar a possible terrorist attack on a Saudi pipeline maybe) and the broader economic issues seem to be returning to the fore.

Long again this morning. Hope that it's got some legs this morning and I don't get whipsawed as happened with my opening long yesterday morning. As I've said previously, I'm fully prepared to get my hands dirty day-trading if markets dictate but I'd much rather latch onto a trend and turn the screens off so that I can go outside to sunbathe. Especially in this weather.

foale - 09 Jun 2004 07:36 - 1671 of 11056

Was thinking about my Forex trading strategy and then world domination...

but now....

just imagining Hilary's legs covered in Factor 8 !!

Have a good day everyone

hilary - 09 Jun 2004 07:54 - 1672 of 11056

foale,

The Anglo-Franco-Portuguese-Indian blood in me means that I don't need to worry too much about Factor 8. Not on my legs anyway.

:o)

Beeblebrox - 09 Jun 2004 07:56 - 1673 of 11056

she uses factor 10 david !

hilary - what was i rubbing in then ?

hilary - 09 Jun 2004 07:59 - 1674 of 11056

That was the Whitefly repellent, Beebs.

hodgins - 09 Jun 2004 08:42 - 1675 of 11056

Here, in allegedly one of the sunniest corners of England zero sunscreen looks the order of the day.
Sitting at the screen scalping may be the only way to make any money today?

foale - 09 Jun 2004 08:49 - 1676 of 11056

I am looking for a run up to 18395 this am
then more consolidation b4 a break up into the 1.8435-75 area

its going to make a run for it soon..

hilary - 09 Jun 2004 08:55 - 1677 of 11056

If it is going to go up this morning, it needs to happen pretty soon now imo, otherwise I'll be looking to reverse to a short.

edit: The Euro seems to be holding the back atm.

foale - 09 Jun 2004 09:34 - 1678 of 11056

Both Industrial production numbers better than expected

Rate rise even morelikely now tomorrow
Cable going up..though not exactly racing

Tellon - 09 Jun 2004 10:09 - 1679 of 11056

foale - 09 Jun 2004 14:29 - 1680 of 11056
