No shit Sherlock! Drought: Three water firms set to lift hosepipe bans

Three water companies have signalled they will lift their hosepipe bans.

Seven firms put restrictions on water use in April to combat drought in southern and eastern England after two unusually dry winters.

But the restrictions were followed by record rainfall across England that month and more rain in May and June.

Anglian Water, Southern Water and Thames Water are to officially announce on Wednesday that their bans will end on Thursday.

Fully agree with you.
Its amazing what some people will say on 'Not to your face' levels.
Whilst I am all for free speech, there obviously has to be limits on what people should be allowed to say, otherwise anyone could say the most vilest things about any one or any member of their family.
Most posts on here are none insulting and those who continue to post personally insulting posts or posts that are intended just to wind people up, go straight on my squelch list.

Like a game of Monopoly.

As the main problem with the EU was and still is the property boom, which reflected downward into all walks of life, I equate the EU as being like a game of Monopoly.
In both you have pretend money that you divide up, allowing those with this money to buy property, businesses with money they previously did not have, IE loaned by a bank.
Once they have these properties, businesses they then sell said properties, businesses to those who are looking to invest in these issues.
The winner is eventually the player that ends up with all the money and properties, businesses leaving the others bankrupt, as they cant pay their dues.
As in Monopoly once that position is reached the game is at an end, because no one has any money left to buy anything, leaving the winner with lots to sell with no one left to buy.
The only way for the game to continue is for the winner to print more money to lend to the losers in order to put them back in a position to keep buying.
But of course this is not allowed in Monopoly!
Of course its only pretend money so no one suffers in the game.
In real life the main difference, is that when the EU game started, the money pot was already very unequal, meaning that the richest players (Germany, France) had a distinct advantage over the poorer players (Greece, Spain).
If the same un level playing field rules as the EU had were used to start a game of Monopoly, it would be so obvious who would be the likely winner, many would not even start to play.

The cancer scare for curry story is a reality. It was because the red dye used in many Tikka Masala meals is used for dying diesel, solvents, plastics and is known to cause cancer and asthma.

"MASSIVE levels of potentially deadly food colourings have been found in Britain's favourite food - chicken tikka massala.

More than half the chicken tikka massala meals served in Indian restaurants are feared to contain illegal amounts of red dye.

The colourings have been linked to hyperactivity in children, asthma and even cancer.

The frightening discovery was made by Trading Standards officers in Surrey who decided to test random samples across the UK.

Officers ordered the distinctive bright red dish from 102 curry houses and sent them to an independent laboratory for testing. From the results, they estimate around 57 per cent of Indian restaurants in the UK use "illegal and potentially dangerous" amounts of dye. One restaurant in Woking, Surrey, used four times the recommended maximum.

Only 44 curry houses of those tested stays within legal limits. "

What an advert of to young and future voters.

So many people are tempted to get away with anything illegal, as they know they 'will' get away with it.
Why aren't these food outlets, just closed down.
On first offense if they were forced to close for say at least 1 month, with a total closure on second offense then I am sure that the problem would soon be none existent.
As with most such official bodies, Trading Standards has either no teeth or is too PC to use them.
