Planestation (Ex Wiggins Group plc) (PTG)

Socrates - 10 Jan 2004 10:34

Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.

So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

Socrates - 27 Feb 2004 09:51 - 174 of 1086

It just occured to be that the effect that the announcement has had is quite amazing considering that there is a lot more to Planestation than just Manston airport. It gives some idea of what can happen if other developments of a similar nature are forthcoming. PTG could foreseeably become a multibagger in time.

Golfclub12 - 27 Feb 2004 09:57 - 175 of 1086

agreed...

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 10:07 - 176 of 1086

Do not fool ourselves.
The deal is a DISASTER i.e.4.50 @ 22,000,000 V : LESS than 1 week ago before
the GOOD news. The City - like me - are VERY unhappy with the deal.Directors
refer to CONDITIONAL deal. What are the conditions ? Perhaps Planestation will
make small money.I still say they have done a deal with a Bottom of the League
Player that operates in an oversaturated market.

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 10:44 - 177 of 1086

The Directors,Once Again,have made a Stupid deal:-

Still only 4.50 @ 24,452,130 V i.e. MINUS .16 FROM LAST WEEKS 4.66.

ajren
Time will tell, nice of you to give us the opinion of the city, is this based on anything reliable?

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 11:17 - 179 of 1086

Hi Socrates,

Yes,the PRICE has told us the view of the City.
How can it be based on anything more reliable ???
rgds aj
P.S.Time HAS told i.e.it is still only 4.50 @ 45,000,000 V which,to repeat,
is MINUS .16 FROM LAST WEEKS 4.66.

apple - 27 Feb 2004 11:38 - 180 of 1086

Looks like a lot of trades in the Sell & Unknown columns were actually buys

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 12:09 - 181 of 1086

Hi apple,
Thanks. However, all that matters is the price i.e. - .16 on last weeks 4.66.

Basically,I am saying the Directors are and have Always Been - the crazy
Interest on mezzanine loan, etc - incompetent.IF it was a good deal the price,
at a guess,should be 20.00 p.
Deals should be only done with Major League - Finance no problem....etc -
Players.EUjet is and always will be a bottom of the league player in an
Oversaturated market and operating within the Impossible - for their type of
business -- constraints of no night flights.

Obviously ,ajren, the Prudential and other institutions think you are wrong because they have invested millions in PTG..but hey that means you think they are incompetent as well. Lol:-)

But then you are right, the shares should be 20p.. My 200k at 3.66p look like a bargain:-)

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 13:46 - 183 of 1086

Hi madasafish,

Yes - they are incompetent RE Planestation i.e.they bought much higher than 3.66
What others have bought -- they are only 4.50 ?
Your buy at 3.66 is already a good buy.

The questions should be Why did they go down from 4.66 to 3.66 and why are they
.16 less than last week after the GOOD NEWS ?

Manston WAS -as a result of this deal their Jewel in the Crown.

Scottie - 27 Feb 2004 13:50 - 184 of 1086

Serious buying going on, and the 56m placing will soon be mopped up at this rate. Level 2 looking good.

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 13:55 - 185 of 1086

Hi Scottie,

No disrespect meant but ALL that matters is the price i.e.they are still 4.50
which is .16 less than last weeks 4.66

partridge - 27 Feb 2004 13:58 - 186 of 1086

maybe ajren is overdoing it a bit, but you only need to look at abbey national results last two years to see how incompetence is not the sole preserve of smaller company management. Equitable life? Marconi? etc lost vast sums. PTG has an exciting project but the Pru will hopefully know it is high risk (with for them a small change investment) - get it right and the PTG management will make themselves a fortune and us other shareholders a commensurate reward for the current risks, but too many mistakes and its likely to be goodnight Manston in its present ownership.

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 14:04 - 187 of 1086

Hi Partridge,

I agree so why am I overdoing it?The proof is in the price i.e. --- .16
LESS than last week : which was 1 week BEFORE the great deal.
rgds aj

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 14:09 - 188 of 1086

STILL:- 4.50 @ 45,397,968 V
Directors not incompetent ---- such a terrible deal ???

Scottie - 27 Feb 2004 15:04 - 189 of 1086

Buying price just gone up to 5p - this flight is on the runway ready to take off! The buying will carry on now through Monday until Tuesday at least.imop

ajren - 27 Feb 2004 15:10 - 190 of 1086

Selling price = + .042
rgds aj

apple - 27 Feb 2004 15:32 - 191 of 1086

Looks like a good deal to me.

Scottie - 27 Feb 2004 16:17 - 192 of 1086

I'm not sure why my last post was filtered? Anyway the buying price has moved to 5p - filter that if you like too!

madasafish - 27 Feb 2004 16:50 - 193 of 1086

Why did the price fall? Silly question. Someone sold 14 million shares.

Why is it going up? Lots of buying...

Always the same after a rights issue, confusion reigns whilst institutions rebalance holdings etc...
