Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Thanks Ian, I keep posting them as it might help finding the problem, it seems OK again now.

Spaceman: It's your own fault, y'know. It's the time dilation effect that happens to people who use the Concorde Method. You know about Schroedinger's Dead Cat bounce, get your mind around the physics, there's a good chap.

This is something that Jonathan is aware of - everything seesm pretty speedy from here.

Getting a lot of warnings "This page contains both secure and non-secure items" when going to "My account" or "Register" and then any of the links off that page, including the ones at the bottom of the page. Of course it's because these two pages go into https: and then forget to go back to http: on navigating away.

Taking lots of time to get such things as thread list and monitor loaded (56k)

Other sites, eg Google.com, are 'absolutely instant' for my Spybot Search and Destroy, Double De-fragged, Ctrl/Refreshed machine.

MoneyAM for me has been very slow now for quite a time, ie. more than about a week. Do you have a clogged up data flow or a duff server(s)?

By the way, "Edit post" is also taking ages to load too.

Access here is pretty speedy, adsl line though.

I will pass your comments onto Jonathan to look into to see whether there are any tweaks he could make that may help.

I have also just used the edit function and it was very responsive.

Jonathan is on a late today so no we hadn't tweaked anything - leads me to believe that it may have been something out of our control, but I will get him to take a look anyway.

No, I havent tweaked any of the servers for a number of weeks now.

google will be faster than us becuase a google page is normally only 15-20k big (if that) where as you are viewing a lot more information on moneyAM (the thread list is a lot to download!)

Are you running anything else at the same time which could be consuming bandwith? such as your email? Anytime that your internet connection is used by another program, less is available for your browsing, causing slowdown when viewing pages.
