THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

chocolat - 25 Oct 2005 22:56 - 1845 of 81564

Very nice.
Dribbled a bit though.

bosley - 25 Oct 2005 23:33 - 1846 of 81564

cream usually does. it can make an awful mess sometimes.

chocolat - 25 Oct 2005 23:48 - 1847 of 81564

True.
But that's definitely chocolate.

hewittalan6 - 26 Oct 2005 00:46 - 1848 of 81564

I'd send that back. The plate hasn't been washed properly, theres all stuff round the edges, and theres a bloody great weed growing in it. So much for hygene.

And they have put some carrot peel in there.

namreh3 - 26 Oct 2005 08:10 - 1850 of 81564

That's not a weed. It's an unattached fig leaf.

Another boring day in trait - should bring a smile to your lips !!!

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one. By
giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which

you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to
be honest, yet spontaneous. Please scroll down slowly and give due
consideration to each line.

THE SITUATION:

You are in New Orleans and there is chaos all around you caused by a
hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical
proportions. You are photo journalist working for a major newspaper,
and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is
nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There
are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the
water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.

THE TEST:

Suddenly you see a man in the water. He is fighting for his life,
trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow the
man
looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's the President,
George W. Bush. At the same time you notice that the raging waters are
about to take him under forever. You have two options, you can save
the life of the President or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize
winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most famous men.

THE QUESTION:

Here's the question, and please give an honest answer.......

Would you select high contrast colour film, or would you go with the
classic simplicity of black and white?

jimmy b - 26 Oct 2005 08:18 - 1852 of 81564

LOL :-)

namreh3 - 26 Oct 2005 08:21 - 1853 of 81564

I am always kind to the disadvantaged if possible. I certainly wouldn't use a camera to shoot him. Such a waste of film.

ps they did help us during the wars.

Nam

hewittalan6 - 26 Oct 2005 08:41 - 1854 of 81564

They've made up for it the last couple of times by either not joining in, or shooting more of us guys than the enemy.
Alan

namreh3 - 26 Oct 2005 08:53 - 1855 of 81564

Just getting their eye in for the big one to come, Al.

Nam

hewittalan6 - 26 Oct 2005 08:54 - 1856 of 81564

I did hear that they want to make up for being late for the last two world wars by being early for the next one.

Is it a really, really boring day out there in the markets or isi it just the crap I am laughingly invested in?

jimmy b - 26 Oct 2005 10:07 - 1859 of 81564

It's a boring day Al.
