Hes playing that very close to his chest, dawall. Given some abuse I got a couple of months ago, I can understand and respect that.
In my more wild and exuberant moments, I was wondering if the conference (organised a couple of weeks ago) was to inform buying and sourcing staff of a new strategy regarding packaging, and instructing them on its implementation. Asda may have requested that SEO keep mum until they rolled it out to the required staff and announce it to the public at large.
Pinnacle expected an announcement on Tuesday, which by coincidence is when the conference started (I believe), but the conference lasts till at least Saturday, so if this was what Pinnacle had heard, it may be Monday before anything can be said.
I Know its a wild fantasy, and logically I am most certainly way off the mark. Not least because my knowledge of the conference comes from my imaginary friend (who works at Asda)!!

Oilywag,

well done -sending it cannot do any harm.

I am fed up with being humoured by them and having no communication.

bosley - 03 Aug 2006 10:25 - 18402 of 27111

oily,

"The management should bear in mind when they put their heads in the sand it exposes their arses as a target."

quote of the week!! i think that line should be in bold capitals. absolutely fantastic :))

greekman - 03 Aug 2006 10:57 - 18403 of 27111

Oilywag,

I have sent several E-mails over the last 2 months.
The first 2 I received very quick replies with as much info as I expected due to restrictions on what can be released.
The last 2 No reply after over 10 days.

Your E-mail has highlighted all the issues that they should answer.
If they do not reply to it, could I suggest we all copy it (with your permission of course) and send it en mass, this might be more affective.

Cheers Greek.

Here's a response I got on the 24th July, not much to go on really.......

Hi Sylvia

Thanks for your response but there were three questions which I would be grateful for an answer on that in my opinion isn't classed as market sensitive as follows:

Further to your email dated 15 July and my reply to you dated 18 July I now complete the outstanding questions as requested:

5.Why does Perseco not even mention Stanelco on their list of partners and suppliers on their website yet?

Perseco: We have no say on what other companies do or do not put on their website.

6.There was no mention of the progress with the contract with G Mondini, have any new machines been fitted with Greenseal technology and sold to Asda or any of it's suppliers yet or anyone in the USA? Again there is no mention of their machines using RF technology on their website let alone a mention of Stanelco?

Greenseal: Machines have been retrofitted successfully in our development environment for three manufacturers. They are in various stages of testing and acceptance with the ASDA suppliers.

Re Mondini, again we are unable to comment on what other companies put on their website.

7.How long approximately does it take an engineer to retro fit a machine with Greenseal, ie how long is the suppliers machine out of use?

Retrofitting with Greenseal: This depends on various issues, such as which machine and what material is used. This is where R&D comes into the scenario, making the timing different on all machines.

We are also in discussions with the OEMs so that the technology is offered when new machines are sold. This avoids retrofitting clearly an advantage.

Best regards

Sylvia

I have just emailed Perseco It's better to ask the train driver rather than the oil rag.

Think downside on this share is now virtually non existent. Let's face it, who would short this share at at current lvl whilst holders may just as well hang on as surely something positive will have to come out sooner or later....(wished i had follow my instinct though and sold at 25p/s but thought with my luck WM would sign up on the day after i sold so i did not...) At least a slight recovery sofar today

ssanebs - 03 Aug 2006 12:44 - 18408 of 27111

just left voicemail with tony ruane on asda-seo current relationship.

kimoldfield - 03 Aug 2006 12:50 - 18409 of 27111

Just had a spare moment to check my emails, have received a reply!:-

Thank you for your email. We have been experiencing problems with our website and our IT System.

However, I can tell you that the statement you read on our website regarding ASDA is correct and will be put back on our site as soon as possible.

Best regards

Sylvia

Obviously there are now more questions to be asked so go for it Oily! I hope you don't mind me pointing this out, if you have not sent your email, there should be an 'ly' on the end of serious (para 7 :-7. There is a widespread feeling that whilst the company may be very good at developing potentially world beating products, it is "serious")

Oilywag - 03 Aug 2006 13:04 - 18410 of 27111

Thanks Kim

I have changed the message quite a lot from what was an eruption of pique late last night. It is now shorter and more succinct.

The change you mentioned has already been made.

Bosley, I have changed the quote to read 'Confucius say, "creature with head in sand gets arse kicked".

In an impudent moment, I used that on the Chairman of the company I consulted for for 20 years and nearly got mine kicked!

Any more comments before I send it at 2.30pm today?

The oily one

PS Its amazing what the threat of an investor revolt will do for the share price!!!

hewittalan6 - 03 Aug 2006 13:05 - 18411 of 27111

Hmmmm.
Not certain I fully believe that reply (its content - not that it is a genuine reply). Its a bit too pat to just say IT problems. i wonder if the problem was more about the content and changes that were required.
if so, that could be very good or very bad.

Kim
Can we take it from your last post that Asda hasnt severed links with SEO

ssanebs - 03 Aug 2006 13:09 - 18413 of 27111

oily

can you ask why the directors have not purchased any shares as they are so low, to give investors confidence

kimoldfield - 03 Aug 2006 13:20 - 18414 of 27111

Driver, yes Asda are still there; I didn't think they had gone because SEO would have had to remove their name from the Greenseal History Product part of the website. Alan, I believe Sylvia on that one, I have noticed the odd blip on the website every now and again and the Biodegradeable Airbag site seems to be suffering!

Do the directors have loads of options to take up whenever they want, hence no need to rush to buy? They could still buy shedloads more though couldn't they!

Good luck Oily, I think your Confucius quote is brilliant and very apt!

Sorry, I have had to go out for a short while this afternoon and have sent the message a minute ago. Did not include that question, but may be able to glean an insight to it by the reply I get.

Will advise all of it as soon as possible.

And thanks to all who took the trouble to respond with suggestions.

Regarding replies from Sylvia - PM1 has also now received a reply and I've copied it below from his website (hope he doesn't mind) as it gives a little more info:-

-------

Thank you for your email. Apologies for the delay in replying, we have been experiencing problems with our IT System and Website.

Machines have been retrofitted successfully in our development environment for three manufacturers. They are in various stages of testing and acceptance with the ASDA suppliers.

We will be updating the market as soon as possible.

Best regards

Sylvia

So with regard to the retrofitting and testing what exactly has changed since the AGM or have I missed something?

rajstar - 03 Aug 2006 13:40 - 18418 of 27111

i too have received the same mail as kimoldfield, exactly the same word. However i had sent a mail to ASDA Customer Services as below and recd a reply.

To: ASDA Customer Services

Hi,

I am a 70yr old pensioner and am keen to know about your greenseal products. I was told last year that ASDA is trialing greenseal products and by the end of Jul06, all the meat, frozen food will be greensealed which will extend the life of the products on the shelf. Please advise if this trials have been succesful as i am very keen to know if ASDA is on track to be the No1 leading supermarket in the whole world together with your parent company.

Appreciate your reply.

Best regards

" Unfortunately no information has been released on this at the moment, until nearer the time it will be in stores"

---------------------------------------------

If I decipher the above

" Unfortunately no information has been released on this at the moment"
That means trials has been completed and awaiting some contract sign off.

"until nearer the time it will be in stores"
So the deals are on.

Anyone else read it differently..pls have a go.
