Goodnight Stormy. I seem to be able to clear this cafe in no time :-(

Fundamentalist - 14 Nov 2004 00:10 - 18466 of 23498

Evening all

Jeffie - try the Kandinsky - very good hotel - are you there for the whole festival - i think im there the thursday/friday

DD - unreal game - still good result all the same

Big Al - 14 Nov 2004 00:22 - 18467 of 23498

Popped back in late to see who's around - no-one! jj did the trick? ;-))

I'll just sit by the gradually diminishing fire and gather the heat in the bones before turning all the lights out.

Fundamentalist - 14 Nov 2004 00:42 - 18468 of 23498

Al

Im still around nursing a quiet brandy in the other corner - feel free to join me

Big Al - 14 Nov 2004 00:47 - 18469 of 23498

Fundamentalist - 14 Nov 2004 00:54 - 18470 of 23498

Al - its a tough life - at work on a saturday night!!!!!

just having a hand of poker myself

Big Al - 14 Nov 2004 01:04 - 18471 of 23498

Hmm, poker. Not something I've played for years. I seem to remember trying to supplement m student grant that way in the 70's! ;-)

jj50 - 14 Nov 2004 10:02 - 18472 of 23498

Morning all. Fresh orange juice and croissants on the bar. You will have to cook your own FEBs as I am off out.

Fundy, Is the Kadinsky the hotel that you can buy a room in to let out and you get so many days per year to use yourself? Was considering this as an alternative investment.

Have a good day everyone!

Fundamentalist - 14 Nov 2004 10:46 - 18473 of 23498

Morning all

Nice hangover this am - wish it was a virtual one!!!

Jen - the Kandinsky has changed if that is the case

hilary - 14 Nov 2004 10:55 - 18474 of 23498

That goal difference is narrowing, Fundy.

:o)

Fundamentalist - 14 Nov 2004 10:57 - 18475 of 23498

Indeed Hils - good to see chelski start to score some goals - Robben looks quite tasty - manic game at totenham yesterday

hilary - 14 Nov 2004 10:57 - 18476 of 23498

Can I hide in the cellar for a bit? My husband is outside laying a base for my greenhouse ...... he wants a hand.

I would offer but I've got my nails to think about.

hilary - 14 Nov 2004 10:59 - 18477 of 23498

Watched it Fundy. If Spurs hadn't been so careless in defence giving 3 unnecessary goals away, you'd have lost that one too.

amberjane - 14 Nov 2004 11:32 - 18478 of 23498

HELLO!!!!

Oh hi Hils, can you take these handcuffs off, GD's had me here for 2 weeks, think thats ample! Now whats this about a greenhouse, doesnt sound like something you would partake in? now a hothouse or solarium more like it! And I hear you've been losing a few pounds whilst exercising, bloody well done! but you have slackened off and have now regained some, not so good! lol

Now Bun I was going to ask if i could join the ex's club but I guess I'd be slightly cheating at the moment. I'm having difficulty making mine an ex! so I guess i dont qualify. Mind you I dont have to worry with that divorce thingy as I never got married but its still so hard to leave, still have house together, etc(25 years...yikkkks).

jeffmack - 14 Nov 2004 11:33 - 18479 of 23498

I never thought Chelsea would win the Premiership, but no doubt Robben is giving them an edge. Two horse race and should go all the way to the wire.

Fundy, probably going to Cheltenham Thursday and Friday. Just e.mailed Kandinsky to see if they have any rooms.

amberjane - 14 Nov 2004 11:38 - 18480 of 23498

Thanks Jen for your lovely email, gave me a nudge, ta. Lot of family stuff you know how it is, but over 500 posts to catch up on....sorry GD for missing the party, as Jen said not like me, normally first one there (and definitely last one to leave)...mind you i didnt have anything to wear!

jeffmack - 14 Nov 2004 11:54 - 18481 of 23498

amber
welcome back

amberjane - 14 Nov 2004 12:33 - 18482 of 23498

Thanks Jeffers, post 18305, not had the cake yet so no problems there...:>)

Socrates - 14 Nov 2004 13:10 - 18483 of 23498

Good afternoon all. Good to see Cheltenham attracting lots of attention. Hotels are a problem during the festivals. The best ones are booked up months in advance and they are not always the biggest. Hightone has used the Kandinsky so he can give a first hand opinion. The hardest problem is getting from the hotel to the racecourse, traffic can be horrendous.

jj50 - 14 Nov 2004 14:28 - 18484 of 23498

Afternoon all. So nice to see you back amberjane :-) Bunny is the chief of the ex's club but we haven't had any candidates for interview yet!!

Fundy, I am probably wrong about the hotel! Ripped out the article from a Sunday paper and it will come back to the top of the pile one day! I was quite interested because you could have 30 odd days per year to use it yourself and that would have been handy.

Afternoon Hils, Jeffmack!
