This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

DB Hi,

It was nothing exciting, not good or bad really, he was just 'suggesting' that there 'might' be something behind the recent rise, but giving nothing of value to back it up, he just showed he knows nothing more than the majority here do.

He might cause some renewed interest tomorrow, but I think all his subscribers already know his thoughts on MMG, and they are already either in or out.

selling volumn was not huge today, but the price dropped 8.5p!!! or I shouldn't be too surprised?! ;-/

Good finish on the day up 8p after yesterdays 8.5p fall and all due ti Mike Walters piece.

On the 15th July 2005 MMG issued a statement stating that they were not aware of the reason for the recent rise in the company`s share price.
Given that we have recently seen a bigger recovery in the share price than back in July is there any significance in the fact the company have not issued a similar statement again?
